  I use it all the time!

  I have a complicated life and I often find myself with a month or so free from work with nothing to do, so I head here. I have stayed here alone and with my wife and daughter. The chalets are clean and well appointed, there is wifi that you have to pay for, there is also a laundry onsite. There is a little shop on site and a small super market about 4kms away in Egmond or if you head the other way too Alkmaar you are spoilt for choice. The site is calm both in summer and winter and the grounds are well cared for. The staff at the reception are all very nice and helpful, even if you do turn up out of the blue looking for a specific chalet for a month! All gas, water and electricity is included and there are dish washers in all the chalets. There is a cooker and microwave for your precooked supermarket dinners! You can park your car right beside the chalet and no vehicles get in or out with a key fob and driving past the reception, so it's secure. There is an outdoor pool and a small play ground for children and people who want to swim! I am not sure what else to say but if its any use, I am off work for 4 weeks in Jan and will more than likely head here! It is an ideal base for anyone traveling around North Holland and you can drive to down town Amsterdam in an hour or go by train from Alkmaar in next to no time. Or even the airport for that matter.   accommodation was nice and clean, 2 bedrooms, double - with plenty of wardrobe space and one with bunk and single bed, with living/dining area and outside patio, bathroom with shower. Kitchen with fridge and freezer compartment, combi microwave oven gas hob and dishwasher. actually found the bathroom roomier than some hotels, shower is not cramped - room to move which is good. so overall the bungalow was nice furnished for 5. being at the front, we were lucky as we also had a hedge for shelter really welcome as we hit a really really hot period! Staff friendly. Even though we were right at the front of the park wasn't too bad for noise (maybe only a few minutes one night, and not the fault of the park itself, only those not obeying the quiet times!) Bike hire, swimming pool - nice, and a restaurant, which we didn't use. However, there are virtually no onsite facilities except for the reception area which provides tokens for washing machines, and powder. They had run out of washing powder. The park is isolated, with no small shop for essentials, so you do need your own transportation, especially for shopping! Trips into Alkmaar which is 5km away, or another centre, is needed. the bus stop in 10/15 min walk, so with shopping if you don't have your own transport is not good. buses run every 30mins and takes you right into the bus/train station, to alkmaar ( which is where we were headed each day) Plenty of taxi options at around 20euros per trip to alkmaar, but 4.20 return on the bus so accommodation lovely and adequate for your stay, but facilities really limited and own transport essential, would think twice about here again, but only because of the isolation of the site

  They try to rip you off

  After 2 months they try to charge me again. Thanks that my bank suspended this transaction. They ask you to leave your card details at the reception and that is a problem. Plus reception staff is not so friendly.
