  Never again

  We spent 2 nights in this pension, and it was the worst accomodation that we had in Krumlov ever. Small room and beds were very uncomfortable. :( Also pension is too far from city center. Moreover they offer on their website, that breakfast is included in price per room, BUT after all you must pay for breakfast also. The behaviour of the owner of this pension isn´t customerfriendly.. so... never again.

  Good value for affordable price

  Spent two nights on a company trip. The accomodation is located outside of Cesky Krumlov, but within a walking distance from the city centre. Clean rooms, nice surroundings, simple breakfast options. In general, we spent all day outside touring around the city, so it was a good value for money option for the night.

  Fair owner

  The owner of this place was very good to us. We had a problem of a double booking and when we told her she gave us the money back. We can't say about the stay as we didn't experience the hotel but the reception and room where clean. Our dealing with the owner demonstrated that she was willing to help and we thought it should be shared. It is very unusual to get your money back if you double book yourself so thank you. The place is not in the city centre but it is good for access if you have a motorhome.

  Great location just outside the city.

  Penzion U Hamru is right off the road just before you arrive in Cesky Krumlov. It is a family owned penzion and the owner is very fair and very friendly. My sister speaks basic German and the owner was very hospitable and tried to make us feel very welcome, and even gave us a tour of the renovations that were done and showed us pictures of the restoration process. It was fascinating. The penzion offers a continental breakfast that is included in the price of the room. The rooms are small, but they are clean and dry, and the beds, although not the most comfortable, do offer a chance at a peaceful nights sleep. The location is pretty good as well. It is only a 19 minute walk to the town along mostly paved road off of the street. You will have to cross the street to get to the path, but it is easily done. And I felt very safe walking there in the afternoon and back at night. There are two or three houses that you might stay in. We thought we were in the main house, but we were in the house next door, which they own also. It worked out pretty well. There isn't a lot of parking there though. But they do offer free wifi. If you wish to drive into the city instead of walking, there are at least three good sized public parking areas that are pay to park.

  Very nice place!

  I am very pleased with U Hamru! The owners were very kind and the place was very clean. They recommended us what to visit in the city. The food was also good! It felt like home and it is close to the city, so you can walk there. It is a very nice stay!
