  Stopover

  We stayed at the Sea view b & b in Porlock. A very quaint place. We were made very welcome the moment we arrived. Shown to our room at the front with a view of the ocean and our host Jill made us a lovely cup of tea. The room was large and comfortable with an ensuite, bath no shower. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of blankets available if needed, we actually had the windows open during the night. The location was good small village, with places to eat readily available. Breakfast was very good the choice was huge either hot or cold and plenty of food. We chose to have a cooked breakfast, eggs, corned beef hash, mushrooms, baked beans, toast with jams etc (that are homemade). We really enjoyed our short stay here and would recommend it highly to friends and family. Thanks for a wonderful time.

  Excellent first stop on the South West Coast Path

  Host Gill made me more than welcome from the very start, already concerned that I would not leave my walking poles behind, which I left in the hallway, the next day. The room was en suite, and was very comfortable; I was able to settle in with a cup of tea and biscuits, before my whistle-stop tour of Porlock. Everything was provided for, and my only very minor issue (not a complaint) was that there was only a hand-held shower in the bath. However, I could see that the shape of the bathroom and ceiling was such that it would be almost impossible to fit a shower unit in. The breakfast was excellent, and set me up for my walk to Lynmouth the next day. The stop could not be faulted and I was sorry I was only staying for the one night. And yes, I did have a sea view from my room! Although Sea View is about a mile from the sea, I was able to see across the Bristol Channel to South Wales.

  Enjoyable, comfortable overnight stay

  Came here with my friend, Scott on 28th December for an overnight stay on our way to Cornwall to meet our walking group. Gill is a very welcoming host, a very enjoyable and comfortable stay with a delicious breakfast. Hope to back again soon.

  Perfect break away.

  We have just returned from a perfect weekend break. A well located b&b with a seaview. Nothing was too much trouble for our attentive hostess. Gill followed government guidelines due to COVID-19, there was plenty of hand sanitiser and there were 2 out of 4 bedrooms occupied. We had a choice of breakfast time so there was no meeting the other guests. Would definitely recommend this and will return again.

  Lovely Quirky b&b

  Lovely night stopped at the Sea View Lovely little room, but perfect. Room and accommodation clean and tidy. Jill only had 2 of the 4 rooms booked due to COVID, this was wonderful and you felt comfortable. We will be back if ever in the area Thank you Tammie & Pete x
