Great RyokanTraditional Ryokan! Room is not that big but have big window for river and forest view. The Dinner and breakfast is not served at room but the food is much better than other Ryokan nearby. Only have three room with outdoor onsen . The bathtub is too small for couple but still good for single. 25 min. Walk to Ryujinmaru Mandara Museum and coffee shop. The internet connection is not that good at Ryujin area.

Old fashioned Onsen with lovely Rotenburo, lovely mealsA typical Ryokan of many years ago. In the small village of Ryujin stretching along the river A long drive from most places along winding roads through the Mountains in the centre of the Kii Peninsula. Rooms are well equipped in Japanese Style. Excellent meals with many small dishes including fish and meat as well as many vegetables, some known others from the mountains. Breakfast enough to last most of the day. Staff are attentive and take care to make you welcome. Little English is spoken. There are Onsen Baths for males and females separately and a mixed Rotenburo overlooking the River. We spent 3 nights there and visited the local attractions, but these are not so exciting, most places are a long drive away. Koya San although only 47 km away is a hard drive though the mountains. Better to relax and enjoy the Onsen or walk.

Great Place to unwindThe place is in the middle of mountain. classic old building but inside is clean and new. Food was great with Keiseki Set both Dinner and Morning. Outside onsen with wonderful view but pretty small for 2-3 people. But that OK. The room with great view of mountain and river. This place is quite and I recommend for people who want to relax.
