  A good, basic motel room

  I stay here frequently to go hiking at Devils Lake and am usually by myself. I do these trips "on the cheap" and want the best accommodations for the best price - that's how I would classify Spinning Wheel. I usually pay about $50 a night and I bring my own food since there is a small fridge and microwave. The people at the front desk are nice and accommodating. Is the room perfect? No, it could use updating, but it's clean and relatively comfortable for the 1-2 nights I need it.

  Great room at a great price

  My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our stay very much. Now I can pretty much sleep anywhere, including on the ground in a crowded airport. My wife on the other hand is pretty picky about where she sleeps. She had two good night's of sleep (though the bed was a little bouncy) and felt refreshed both mornings. We felt secure and our items didn't need need to be locked up like Fort Knox when we left. The only drawback is theirs no coffee pot in the room and no soap or shampoo (though that's not a deal breaker as most of the time it's cheap stuff anyway).

  Mom & Pop Motel

  We got exactly what we expected, friendly check in, clean room & bathroom, comfy beds and a good nights sleep! There are plenty of restaurants within walking & also 2 convenience stores, great central location for exploring. Easy to find. Excellent price considering we stayed there on Parade Weekend!!

  Clean and Comfortable

  This motel was clean and comfortable. The price was right. A good place to just sleep the night at a reasonable price. We stayed in the back row of rooms and it was quiet, away from the busy highway. It is across the street from a convenience gas station and bakery, which was nice.

  Close to Devils Lake

  Simple and very outdated but cant ask much for the price. Room had small fridge and microwave but no coffee. My main concern was the smell. We asked for another room but there was not much difference, not sure if is mold, the carpet not clean, or if is just the rooms in the back but the smell is really bad. Also rooms were not too clean. Hotel wasnt busy so they should have been spotless especially with covid-19 going on..
