  Wonderful family hotel

  Easily 5 stars for this lovely, friendly family-run hotel. From start to finish we had a great stay here. The Sporthotel is well-situated on the edge of Neustift and right next to the Elferbahn gondola. Neustift isnt big, but the main valley road runs right through the village and gets a surprising amount of traffic. The Sporthotel being away from this road, traffic noise is reduced considerably. We had a room overlooking the garden and that was perfect. The hotel also adheres to the Stubaital Card which means that you get unlimited use of valley buses and one return trip on any of the 4 mountain gondolas/cable cars per day. This, coupled with a half-board stay, really helps in budgeting your holiday and is a real bonus when compared to other resorts that dont have such cards. We used the system to the full and had a great weeks hiking. Every day we rounded off by making use of the excellent spa facilities too. But the best parts of our stay were the excellent food and the caring, professional staff. The level of cuisine here is top-notch : much attention to detail and presentation and excellent quality ingredients. The breakfast buffet has all you could ever want. The wine list (I should really say « Wine Book ») has some amazing bottles - at amazing prices!! - but there are more affordable and very good wines too. While every member of staff was friendly, helpful and kind, we give a special mention and thank you to Kostas & Panayota who were our main waiter/waitress in the restaurant : they were very professional but also such lovely people with great personalities, and we have fond memories of them now that we are home.   Wonderful week

  First of all the view over the mountains is breathtaking from anywhere you stand in the hotel, whether its your bedroom, or the diningroom, pool & jacuzzi, terrace ... We booked half-board (breakfast and dinner) the food was delicious and the menus varied. We were even served soup and cakes with refreshments in the afternoon. The hotel is spotless and feels like home, the staff lovely. There is plenty to do all around the hotel, which is located to immediate proximity of the mountains.

  Good value for money

  At least when we where there, you had to go with bus/car to the ski area. But there were a lift just outside the hotel. Likely opened later in the season. However good facilities for ski equipment etc. Breakfast good and dinner excellent. Rooms also good but beds a bit hard. SPA/wellness very good. Split in two, a water part with traditional pool plus partly outdoor jacuzzi. Wellness part with sauna was nice with multiple saunas. As always in the German speaking countries, this part is textile free = nude.

  Perfect Hotel in a Perfect Location

  This was our first time at the hotel (not the area) and all I can say is Wow from the moment I booked to the moment we sadly left we were looked after by all the staff. The rooms are well equipped, the adult wellness is a lovely relaxing area after a day up the mountain boarding. The bar has a range of drinks! Breakfast huge variety catering for everyone. The ladies in the spa (Barbara) great massages for achey legs the whole place was just amazing. If I had one small negative despite a good room we had a balcony above the entrance where people smoked which made the room smell that was our one negative. Everything else just perfect Thankyou we will be back soon xx

  Lovely hotel with spa

  Stayed here for a skiing holiday. Free hotel ski bus to glacier and short walk to the free local skibus for other areas. Very limited skiing in the village but plenty within a 20min bus ride. The spa facilities were excellent. Multiple steam rooms and saunas, an indoor pool and an outdoor jacuzzi pool. Sadly the outdoor sauna was not in use with no explanation why. Delicious food every night and very attentive staff. Kitsch live music on some nights (keyboard player and a lone electric guitarist on another night). My only complaint is the lack of a decent, moderately priced house wine served by the carafe like most other hotels and chalets do. This hotel only seemed to serve over-priced wine by the bottle and focused more on the high end wines (£300-£3,000 per bottle). People who buy wine of that price are not going to be staying in this moderately priced hotel and are going to be staying somewhere higher end.
