    Lovely place we really enjoyed, clean tidy great amenities. Excellent for families. Well located to do Mountain walks. Loved the pool and location of this place and we will be sure to go back next time we are in the area.

    We stayed in the Stratford Motel and holiday park and found it very accommodating, clean, all we needed and the lady owner very helpful. Great place to stay and close to town. An added bonus was it also was very quiet

    Review of campground/cabins

    HI there - Caitie in the office - was FANTASTIC! Couldn't have asked for a more communicative, friendly, smiling face to greet us on arrival, and tend to our needs over the four days we stayed. Her professionalism and knowledge was of the highest standard. The cabin was clean and tidy, however the bed bunks quite saggy and squeaky. The area we parked in with our caravan was in a great position and very tidy and private with the lovely hedging around us. The pool was clean and pleasant to have a dip. The women's toilets are an issue- they continue to flush after flushing, despite pressing the button down a few times to try to stop it. (*Hate to think of the hundreds of litres being wasted) Caitie said they had been attended to but the issue continues. Could not fault the service or pleasant surroundings. Thanks so much Caitie. You ROCK!

    3 nites stay

    We stayed 3 nights. We climbed Mt Taranaki on Saturday. Had a lovely spa afterwards. Sunday we went to the museum in Hawera which is amazing. Allow yourself plenty of time for your visit. This is a very nice Camping Ground well run & the Manager Caitee is fantastic. Nothing was a bother. Definitely recommend this Camping Ground.

    Great stay

    We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the dorms, which was $35 per bed (+ $5 for a towel, sheets and two blankets). The place was clean, the staff friendly, and the location very easy to find. We would recommend doing the 25 min drive to Dawson Falls for a walk around the base of Mt Taranaki. Good for the family.
