Zai Yan Leader Hotel Tao YuanThe hotel is excellent from the location point, but really I was shocked at the cleanliness and how run down the place is. You are better off checking into the nearby Holiday Inn Express which is cleaner and more professionally run. Internet is a let down, they only had wired LAN, and I had to buy a prepaid card to enable a hotspot for my iPad. The breakfast was another big letdown; the jam/ butter containers looked like not cleaned for ages and they just top up the jam/ butter into it for a common dispenser for everybody. I stayed for 1 night and so glad that I continued my journey elsewhere.

Friendly and helpful staffThe staff at reception were very friendly and helpful and the location was convenient for the city centre and shops, markets etc., but we were not too impressed with our room, particularly for the price. The price was similar to Novotel near the airport, but basically you get much less bang for your buck.

Very old and worn out hotel. Cleanliness was acceptable though. Was there with my fiancée earlier part of this year for wedding photos shoot and stayed at this hotel for a few nights. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was old and tired, and lighting was not very good throughout the hotel. The room was not bad and quite comfortable. Despite the appearance of the hotel, the cleanliness of the room was commendable. Toilet was clean as well. Two complaints though. One was the complimentary breakfast which was quite a letdown. Second, the cleaning schedule by the hotel was carried out at weird hour. The cleaning staff apparently did not know my room was occupied and had attempted to open my door in the middle of the night. Luckily my door was locked. My complaint the next morning was met with this excuse of cleaning staff not knowing that the room was occupied. Kinda dubious.

Not even worth the word 'hotel' in its nameThe hotel - if you could even call it that - is old, run-down, dirty, cramped, and terribly kept. Our room had a dusty carpet and stained sheets, and the toilet gave off a smell reminiscent of sewage. We lodged a complaint but all the staff could do about it was apologise. The breakfast area was tiny and dirty, with sloppily cooked food. A disgusting experience indeed.

Nice stay but average breakfastStay with travel agent. Corner room with bathtub, clean and decent size. Very friendly reception who give us a nearby map and recommend where to go for dinner. Breakfast room is very small with the lady boss cooking breakfast. Really like homemade breakfast. Ladyboss doesnt cook much but you can request her for the item even if empty, coz she will cook for you. Not really buffet style but instead more like homestay style. Ladyboss will ensure that you are full, but with limited time that you need to catch the tour bus and the long wait for her to cook, is not really easy to be full. Overall: room is ok but breakfast wise is not really that ok.
