  Hermoso hotel con una cálida atención

  El Guest House es precioso, todos los detalles están muy bien cuidados. Su dueña, siempre muy atenta y amable, nos recomendó excursiones para hacer y restaurantes a los que ir, y todas sus opciones resultaron excelentes. El desayuno es muy bueno y super abundante, y tiene vista a la calle en donde se aprecia su bonito paisaje. Windermere es bellísimo y es un lugar dónde con GPS en mano es digno de perderse y aprovechar todos esos caminos peatonales secretos que atraviesan el pueblo y que también lo comunican con Bowness-on-Windermere. Como único detalle diría que la habitación N°8 si bien tiene una magnífica decoración puede resultar demasiado chica para gente alta (más de 1,80) o bien corpulenta y recomiendo tener cuidado con la estufa del baño porque al ser el baño algo estrecho sufrí una leve quemadura. En mi opinón el hotel es fantástico pero de tener la suerte de volver aquí escogeríamos alguna de las habitaciones más grandes. Tuivmos la suerte de poder ver las de la planta baja y son fantásticas.

  Beautiful

  Checked in on Sunday for 2 nights. We had room 10 on the ground floor next to reception. Lovely bay window and small side window. The room was beautifully furnished with a small bathroom with shower. The only downside to this bathroom was that (in our opinion) the radiator was in the wrong place. It ought to have been higher up the wall as it was scalding hot and it was so easy to burn your leg whilst sat on the loo. We decided to turn it off. Breakfast was fabulous with a good choice to choose from. Due to covid, we were allocated a time each morning for breakfast so that you did not walk into the breakfast room with other guests. It was all very well run and hand sanitiser was available on entering the guest house and also in the breakfast room. The guest house is situated about a 5 minute walk from Windermere and 15 minutes from Bowness. Ideally situated really as you get the best of both worlds. We will without a doubt stay here again and we plan to travel on the motorbike next time and ride up to Keswick to see the amazing scenery again. Thank you Beverley and Neil for your hospitality. We had a lovely couple of days.

  Ticks every box!

  We stayed here for two nights as a base to explore Windermere and Bowness. The hotel is in a perfect location, an easy walk to both (although Bowness is downhill so those with limited mobility may wish to take this into consideration). You can park either in the car park or on the street and it was good to be able to leave the car and not drive for a few days. A lovely friendly welcome from Beverly and lots of recommendations for eating, drinking etc. We had Room 8, top floor. It was perfect for our needs, comfortable, well furnished and clean. I mean CLEAN! You could practically eat your dinner in the bathroom. This room has the toilet separated from the shower, they have made the best use of space in this room. One thing I liked was the little dressing table - well thought out, having a chair, table/shelf, mirror, light and plug all together. Ive stayed in too many places where a plug is nowhere near a mirror and you cant see when drying your hair! At the risk of repeating what previous reviews have said about breakfast, times are staggered to allow for easier social distancing and you just select your desired choice on the slip the evening before. We enjoyed our breakfast both mornings and it was really lovely to have a nice cooked breakfast every morning, be able to enjoy it in peace and quiet. We had a lovely time exploring Windermere and Bowness, lots of nice places to walk, see, eat and drink in. We did find restaurant prices pretty high (even in comparison to city centre) but everything we had was enjoyable. Overall, the Coppice was the ideal choice for us, we would 100% recommend it and would definitely be our first choice if returning to the area.

  Excellent

  From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt extremely welcome by Neil and Beverley along with the other staff who work here. Beverley was there to greet us, which she did so in such a friendly manner. She gave us maps of the local area, recommended things to do and places to eat. We were shown to our lovely room (Room 10) which was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed and a nice en suite. The shower was lovely and spacious and really powerful. This room is on the ground floor, next to the entrance and dining room - we didn't find any issues with noise. We were allocated a breakfast time each day and chose what we would like the night before. There is a choice of drinks, cereal, fruit, yoghurt and various different options for hot food. All food is cooked to order once you're seated in the dining room but there is not a long wait for it. All food is tasty, hot and of a good standard. The staff are happy to help and assist with anything extra you would like. Neil and Beverley were so friendly during our stay; you can tell how much they enjoy their job. They gave us recommendations of where to go; were interested in what we were up to that day and would follow up the next day with our thoughts. The guest house is clean and quiet and set in a pretty part of Windermere. A great location and a great base. There is a small car park but we never struggled to find a space using the on street parking. Thank you Neil and Beverley for your hospitality!

  Perfect

  From arriving to leaving, the hosts and staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good, although the cereal choice was limited, but explained why. The room was very clean and comfortable, with complimentary sherry. I will return.
