  Buena atención , lugar muy sencillo

  No es un hotel de lujo , pero esta muy limpio y tiene todas las comodidades. Las habitaciones pequeñas. Un inconveniente es que el desayuno comienza a las 8,15 (muy tarde para hacer actividades desde temprano) . El personal muy atento y servicial.

  Thank goodness for Glendower.

  We had to travel to Torquay house viewing and couldn't do it in one day. I tried several places we had stayed at before but not many were open, I was surprised Glendower was actually during lockdown, and thank goodness for that. We had good communication from the start which made life simple. We were made very welcome with tea (great EG Janette) and lovely cake. Our ground floor room was pretty, comfortable and clean although the pillows were a little hard (unfortunately I get that almost everywhere I go). A choice of soft ones would be nice. Lovely shower products. A very good idea was ice cold water in a stainless steel thermal jug (I was so impressed with it had to find out where it came from!) also cold milk in a stainless steel container another good idea. My husband was worried about no grub available in the evening because restaurants were closed, no need to worry we were offered jolly good fish and chips. Breakfast was also great and plentiful, kept us going all day. We felt safe with Glendower's Covid precautions. Thank you both.

  More than just a guest house!

  Having to travel to attend a family funeral we were lucky that we were able to get accommodation at this fabulous, friendly guest house. From booking to greeting (with tea & cake) Janette and Ian were flexible (allowing us to bring our small dog at no extra charge) and friendly going out of there way to make us feel at home. Our room (1) was big, bright and beautiful and everywhere was very clean with everything in place to make us feel safe away from home. As chef's the food was superb with a good and hearty choice for breakfast and restaurant quality evening meal was served to order. We would highly recommend the Glendower and if we're in Torquay again will definitely be back.

  A pleasing experience!

  Spent two days at Glendower. Received a warm welcome (plus tea and cake) from Janette and Ian. It was our first visit to Glendower, and will not be the last. Room very well appointed with every amenity. Breakfast and evening meal delicious - all in all a very pleasant stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Janette and Ian - our thanks to them. Will see them again soon - when pandemic restrictions are lifted. Thanks Janette and Ian for everything. Colin & Cynth

  Lovely Bed and Breakfast, great food and very welcoming!

  I stayed for one night on a work trip, I arrived late in the evening and was planning to find a local takeaway but luckily I rang before hand. They cooked me a lovely home made fish and chips with fresh caught fish, which was amazing! The room was really spacious and had so many nice personal touches which made you feel at home and comfortable, the bed was really comfortable! Waking up for breakfast to a full English breakfast which was cooked perfectly, the hash browns were great! Will definitely return when the country is back up and running, will be perfect to bring the mrs and spend the weekend here.
