  Good place, strategically positioned

  I am happy to have booked an apartment at the Mercury Residence. The apartment was clean and well furnished. Just the living room was dark, as it didn't have any windows (which were only in the sleeping room) and the water from the shower wasn't running properly, but still enough to have a shower. I think the apartment to be strategically positioned: close to 3-4 shopping groceries, bus station with direct busses to Valletta, airport and northbound, seafront and just 10' walking time from Paceville, which is the night center of Malta. The staff was friendly and ready to help and the landlady as well. She gave us also nice suggestions for our holiday. It has free working WiFi and the price of the apartment is fair.

  Good place

  The location is good, close to the see, the street is quiet and several bus lines have stop here. Nice apartement with equipped kitchen, and daily cleaning service. They provide blanket, towels,etc,however they stink a bit.

  Late summer week on Malta

  We spent 6 nights at this apartement hotel in Sliema. The apartment has a nice kitchen, with all necessary kitchenwears for 3 people, free wifi is available in the whole building and the bathroom is looks like a new one. We got towels more times, it was unexpected in an apartement, but a big plus for the hotel. The furnitures are not the nowest ones, but all of them were usable and in good condition. The building is in quiet street, close to the beach and the bus stops, and there is store around the corner in 50 metre walk. One negative thing: the reception is available only until 13:00, so later checkin is a little bit complicated, but they recommended alternatives to solve the "problem".

  Central location

  When researching for accommodation we picked an apartment as it was cheaper than having a hotel on the front. The accommodation is basic, and if you wanted anything Anna would try and help you out. I asked for a teapot and a washing up bowl and they appeared shortly afterwards. There was no air con, only a free standing fan which was always on when we were in the room. The only thing lacking in the room was a broom, as the floor did need to be swept more often than the twice weekly service, which was lacking. The maid came in daily and empty the bins only. There was a bank holiday in the second week and we had to ask for towels and a bed linen change. All the shops are local to the apartment. Wifi is free and was ok most of the time, except occasionally in the evening when it was either slow or non existence. There was no television, radio, microwave or telephone in the apartment. It would have been nice to watch a little TV in the evening/before going to bed. Anna arranged for George to collect us from the airport which was handy. When he collected us at 9.30pm on Sunday evening he gave us useful tips of places to visit, where the bus stops were located and pointed out the local shops and bars. Having said all thing, I would still book this accommodation again.
