  Dependable and convenient

  This is a new and very handy hotel, smack in the middle of Tsutenkakumae. It has everything and you know it from the moment you walk in. I hadn't stayed at a Toyoko Inn before and its business model is interesting. It more like moving into a giant youth hostel than a hotel. There are signs, adds, notices plastered everywhere from the walls to the elevators. Drink machines and yukata lockers, its all very help yourself. Even the dining room is on the ground floor and part of the reception area! It's not classy, but it works and its very reasonable. No fancy overheads. The rooms are fitted out with all the usual items, but like everything been bought separately and put into the room. In the bathroom the only amenity is a toothbrush, soap is in a dispenser. Strangely there are all the religious tomes on a shelf - Bible, Koran, Buddha etc and on the desk a guide to Adult Pay movies! The best idea though is the bed. It IS firm, but its a bench bed with about 15inches of clearance to slide all your luggage under - wonderful idea. The room is small but not as small as others I've stayed in at higher prices. Rooms face either Tennoji Zoo and views of the Abeno Harukas Tower - my room, or over Shinsekai on the other. But those back rooms have all the AC unit right under their windows. All in all a great value place, somewhat lacking in any charm, but it does the job. The complimentary breakfast is OK, but not outstanding, and you can walk right outside for great bite to eat. Downside is the 4pm check-in, and because it is in a pedestrian area - you need to walk 100m or so to the street. But metro and JR are 5-10 min walk away. Also only one lift so there is a rush at checkout time. A good, reliable choice, especially for location.

  Small Typical Toyoko Inn

  The hotel is relative small one within Toyoko Inn hotels. It only has one lift which you need to wait for sometime in the morning busy time. The location is good fit for looking for food at the night or late night as it is located in the heart of the dinning area which you can found a lot of restaurant opening at the night. One of the staff who can speak Cantonese and Mandarin very well, which Greater China customer should be able to communicate with him without problem..

  Information Reservation through website not complete

  I mention clearly in the website reservation that 2 of my kids under 12 years old will be joining in the same room and clearly stated in hotel policy that they can stay together with the parents but the hotel don't mention clearly how many guess can stay in each room. I book double room with the condition 2 adult and 2 children in the same room and the website reservation go smoothly and it happen when we arrive the policy for the double room is only for 3 person and we have to upgrade to twin room and the worse thing is no non smoking room available at that day, we are very disappointed because we must stay one night in the smelly smoking room with 2 my children who cannot handle the smell. The hotel must give the full information for the occupancy policy in each room and each toyoko inn hotel to avoid the miss communication after the guess arrive in the hotel. For your infomation we don't have any difficulty when we stay in Toyoko inn Toyama and Toyoko inn Kyoto with same booking condition.

  Nice hotel in Shinsekai

  It's a nice hotel in Shinsekai, and it's very near to Dobutsuen Station where it's only 2 stations away from Namba station, and just a walking distance to Don Quijote plus restaurants are everywhere. The hotel is also clean, staffs are nice and bed is wide. Drawback: only one elevator. Very much recommended.

  Budget hotel in a good location

  This hotel is located very near to Osaka Tsutenkaku Tower. Around the hotel is many restaurants and also near the zoo. So you don't have to worry about food and also tourist attractions. You can also walk to Nipponbashi-Shinsaibashi within 20 minutes. You will get breakfast for free (rice, bread, fried noodles, egg). Room condition is OK, clean and quite fast wi-fi. Anyway, this hotel is recommended if you stay in Osaka.
