  Hermosa vista del Lago Di Garda

  Un hotel en toda la orilla del Lago Di Garda, con el paseo peatonal para caminar y admirar ese hermoso paisaje. Tiene parking gratis y wiffi. Me toco una habitación con vista al Lago , aunque son antiguas están bien conservadas y muy limpias. El precio es favorable.

  Excellent location and warm welcome 2018

  Hotel Vela D'Oro is in a great location. It is directly on the lakeside, the only hotel in the very small village of Cisano just south of the larger busy town of Bardolino. Cisano has several good restaurants and small shops for papers and groceries.. The summer bus service to and from Verona airport, and the all year round excellent buses around Lake Garda, stop outside the hotel. The lake ferries call at the jetty outside the hotel. Not all the ferries stop at Cisano but links can be made by bus with the bigger centres. The hotel staff were very welcoming and helpful, both by email before our visit and during our stay. The accommodation was slightly dated but spotless and comfortable. The private hotel swimming pool is a short distance away along the lakeside promenade. It is in its own garden for sunbathing and has changing and showering facilities. Pool towels can be hired at reception. Bicycles can be hired for trips around the lake promenade. The pre-cooked food at breakfast looked a bit tired but there was a great selection of delicious alternatives. We would have liked a kettle in our room. We would definitely return and can recommend the hotel as a base for exploring all the attractions of Lake Garda.

  Disappointing hotel to end to our Italian travels..

  This was our last stop on our little tour of Italy, having stayed in a lovely apartment in Milan, and excellent hotels in both Florence and Rimini. Unfortunately I got this one wrong!! We liked the beautiful location and the views from the Marina side of the hotel, nice pool area and grounds just a short walk along the promenade, good local restaurants and a short walk to Bardolino or Lazise, other than that we were very disappointed with the hotel. Room was an ok size but had a poor sofa bed which was broken, mattress awful, daughter ended up sleeping on floor on spare mattress provided (even that mattress was poor), when we booked there was no mention of the spare bed being a sofa bed, just a single bed. We spent all this money on the location and end up facing the very busy noisy road rather than the beautiful views of the lake, literally would have been quieter in a Premier Inn on the hard shoulder of the M25. Shower is ridiculously small but bathroom ok, hotel staff not particularly friendly, younger girl on reception had a real chip on her shoulder, lady at the pool cafe miserable, breakfast staff the same. Never had a hello or goodbye when leaving or returning to hotel, never had a goodbye when checking out. Breakfast was poor, machine juice, all hot drinks from machines, croissants tasted like the cheap ones you get in those big bags wrapped individually, choice was poor. Tinned fruit!! Why have tinned fruit?? The little shop across the road sold delicious fresh fruit and peaches etc, unfortunately just all done on the cheap. Ended up going to the bar overlooking the marina for breakfast. We may have had a better experience had we had a better room/view etc. not sure.. maybe we wouldn't have focused on the rest of the hotels faults?? Overall the hotel was poor value for money, sad to say that I couldn't recommend.

  Best stay on Lake Garda

  We have been to Lake Garda many times and had some good experiences, but this hotel was the best we ever had over there. Very well situated near the marina , nice room, good breakfast with a large variety of food and fine restaurant. It is situated in the small village of Cisano, only a few km away from both Bardolino and Lazise ( two places worth a visit). There are several restaurants on the promenade and Cisano is much calmer than Bardolino. The very large private swimming pool ( 25 m in length! )is in a real and well kept park only a few minutes walking away from the hotel. Very friendly staff.

  Amazing holiday at Hotel Vela dOro, best hotel stay weve ever had!!

  We couldnt have wished for a better place to stay on lake Garda, Hotel Vela dOro ticked every single box, perfect location, perfect amenities from the comfortable rooms (and beds!), amazing breakfast, the pool was the nicest pool we ever swam in with views to die for, without forgetting the snooker table which kept us entertained every night. Everyone working at the hotel deserves a medal for their friendliness and professionalism. We cant wait to go back! Thank you Hotel Vela dOro
