Lovely RyokanWonderful ocean views. Lovely spacious room with separate living area. I loved the onsen. The breakfasts and dinners were amazing. Not much English is spoken by the staff but their graciousness and willingness to assist showe the through. One of the best Ryokans I have been to. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Wajima again. It has parking as well.

Out of the way stayWe were looking for a old style inn in an out of the way location and we found the noto no sho perfect for us as we had a car which is a necessity for visiting the peninsula. First, the facility is great. We had an in tub suite on first floor which was spacious enough and very comfortable. The ocean view as nice although the ever present road can be a little noisy. Secondly, the staff are very accommodating and friendly. Not much English spoken here but enough for us to thoroughly enjoy ourselves. Everyone worked hard to ensure a wonderful stay. Lastly, the food was excellent. We stayed for three nights and had dinner and breakfast each day. The fresh fish and dinning experience were perfect. The chef was very adept at preparing the local fare and the presentation was excellent. As with most great accommodations it is the staff which make it that way. They looked after us so that we enjoyed our visit both in and away from the inn.

Tip of NotoBeautiful ryokan, just across the road from the sea. Our room and private bath had a sea view, but across a rather busy street. It was quiet at night, but the view was marred by the road. Food was excellent, each time served in a separate room. The baths delightful (except for the view), the cleanliness top notch, and the staff could not have been nicer. Ladies get to choose their own yukatas!

Our first RyokanHard to compare as this is the first Ryokan that we have stayed. But, here is our experience so far. The greeting is over the top as everyone is in the driveway yearning to do something for you. I really believe they would carry you in if you allowed it. The rooms I have seen including ours #305 faces the ocean and roadway. Strong powerful waves. There is a garden directly across the road and there was a woman working out there until dark. Our dinner last night included Shusi, Sashimi, BBQ. You are spoiled for choice. The Onsen was lovely also our first and just getting the lay of the land. You dont want this style if you have trouble with stairs or getting up from the floor. Very low ceilings. Extremely clean. Worth a try for sure these Ryokans

Warm reception in a lovely ryokanThe ryokan is lovely with extremely warm and gracious staff. You have the opportunity to choose your own yucata for the night from the hotels selection. The food was carefully prepared and served on beautiful laquerware. There are 2 onsens with the ground floor being both indoor and outdoor overlooking a gorgeous koi pond. The onsen on the first floor is indoor. The room itself overlooked the ocean as well as the street as the ryokan is located on right next to the coastal street. Warm and gracious staff. We had a very short time here as we took public transportation to Wajima from Kanazawa Station and has just planned an overnite. The staff at the Tourist Office at the station gave us all the details on how/where to catch the bus. As Wajima is the last stop on the bus, the hotel shuttle bus picked us up from the station. A ride one way is about 2 hours with some pretty scenery at parts along the way. Early the next day we visited the morning market which is well worth a look. There is also a beautiful temple at the opposite end of the street from the morning market.
