  Lo justo y necesario

  Un hostal con litera que cumple con los requisitos sin ofrecer nada más. Buena localización cerca de calle Arbat. Habitación sin ventana aunque buena ventilación. Baño compartirlo pero limpio y bien organizado. Una pega demasiado pequeña la cocina. Si tienes que comer te toca hacerlo en la habitación

  Avoid if possible

  The hostel is located in a residential building, where at least 3 apartments were cloned into this sort of wierd Game of Thrones tribute, with about a dozen almost identical rooms in each. Location is just outside the first ring road, opposite the end of Old Arbat street. There's a metro station 5 minutes away through an underground path, a big supermarket, several ATMs. You can also walk all the way to the Red Square via Arbat st, about 45 minutes. No doubt a good location, that was also very easy to find. A taxi from/to the airport (SVO) with the Gett app costs 1200-1500 Rubles, depending on traffic. Rooms are small, some have a bit of room to move, others don't. Beds, from what I could see, are the same in all the rooms, and are reflected correctly in the photos. Your mileage may vary with the mattress - one was so bad it looked like it was broken in two, others were ok to sleep on. As always, especially with hostels, I brought my earplugs with me which proved useful in mornings when people checked out early. Water pressure was ok, hot water was always available in the shower and there was rarely a queue. The showers and toilets looked clean, but I saw evidence of rats in one of the rooms, which is probably not what they originally intended when they thought up this GoT theme. There is no common area to hang out, eat or drink, sit and chat with other travelers. The entire place, not just the rooms, is small and crowded. Also, the reception staff that sometimes makes a difference in such places was nothing special, 3 girls on long shifts ranging between semi-nice to indifferent. For me staying at hostels with the inconvenience of limited space and shared bathroom sometimes can have an advantage when it comes to socializing. Not in this case. The truth is that if it wasn't for the World Cup that made the accommodation situation in Moscow almost impossible I would never have stayed at this place. Its only advantage is location, there's not much else here that I can recommend.

  Cheap place to stay

  I arrived to the hotel at 24:00 and the guy on the reception told me that my booking was cancelled because the had some problems and I need to go another hotel. He didn't even wanted to open the door for me and talk in person. Eventually I got in to the reception and got an address of the other hotel. I had to walk for 20 min barely knowing where to go with a huge 25 kg bag in snow allmost up to my knee :( . When I got there I didn't get any discount or apology, and I had to pay extra for late check out (which I had to have to get enough sleep after all this mess!!!!!!!!). The room was clean and generally ok, but smelled weird. All in all an "ok" place, but 've prepared to troubles.

  THE WORST SERVICE EVER

  If you value your time, belongings and nerves this hotel is not the choice! Unfortunately, the owners of the hotels forgot to focus on their customers and service. THE HOTEL CANNOT GUARANTEE THE SAFETY OF YOUR BELONGINGS LEFT IN THE ROOM. Moreover, while you're out discovering Moscow, your room can be sold to another guests (including belongings you left there). The management of hotel DOES NOTHING to solve any kind of problem. All you have left is bad experience and insults from their management

  Very cheap

  While we did not experience problems as big as other people, we can see how easily that can happen here. The place looks and feels a little shady. The rooms are closet size. There is no space to put anything. They try to fit three people in a room, that is hardly big enough for one. Also, during our stay we noticed several cockroaches.
