  Fantastic

  This Hotel is in a very small town away from Nurumberg, placed in a fantastic location close to a river and forests. It is ideal for weekends in nature! The rooms are very clean, well equiped and big spaces and bathrooms. The breakfast is nice and fresh and if you descide to eat here for dinner, you will suprised by the delicious food in very good prices. It is strongly recomended!!!!

  Great family-owned hotel!

  I stayed here for a few days in February. The location is very scenic and the hotel was quite unique. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast spread was extensive. Lunch and dinner were delicious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay and dine in scenic Muggendorf!

  Service overwhelming

  They really did a lot of thinks to make this place more attractive within the last years and it worked. Rooms are what you can expect in this area but the service was really great and more than what I could have wished. Really a recommendation.

  Excellent location and friendly staff

  Comfortable room; very good breakfast and good wholesome suppers. Very good location to explore the area. Friendly and helpful Reception staff. The hotel is in a quiet location near a lake and there are many cycle/walking spots near by.

  Quite basic food with original service

  First of all, this review is about the restaurant, not the hotel itself. We were hiking nearby, needed to get a late lunch, and this was the only restaurant open. By entering we were informed only smaller (Brotzeit) dishes were available. Not a problem. We ordered a Flammkuchen and cold pork shoulder. As the dishes arrived, the waiter apologized that the kitchen had made the pork as the warm dish (with everything included) and it would take some time to prepare the ordered version. Apparently the kitchen didn't know only small dishes were available. Since I was really hungry, I just took the warm version, though slightly pricier. The food itself was your standard Franconian basic quality. It would've been nice to have the shoulder freshly cooked, but that's difficult outside the main service time. The one thing slightly bothering us was that the service had their station just around the corner from our table and they kept discussing the life, the universe, and everything, sharing these discussion with us. If some other restaurant is open during the next visit, I'll try them, otherwise this place can be re-visited.
