    Excellent food

A very friendly and familiar atmosphere. The proprietor himself is chef de cuisine. Delicious food with local ingredients. The soup made of 20 herbs is fantastic! Also the meat courses. Regularly there is a buffet dinner or special dinner events.

    They went the extra mile

We didn't stay there but choose to have dinner there as the venison season had just started. We did not have a booking. As we arrived they immediately told us that albeit they had space, the kitchen was so busy that the waiting time may be beyond acceptable. The manager immediately tried to find us a table at one of the other hotels but they were also full and/or did not have venison on the menu. He checked again and told us if we were willing to wait 15 minutes and enjoy a glass of wine they should be able to fit us in. And so they did. The meal was delicious, the service extraordinaire and I could not recommend this hotel more. The owners are young and dynamic. Its a family hotel with a very good understanding of not only hospitality but a service beyond the usual. Thank you.

    Great place to stay

This hotel is billed as a 3 star but in my opinion it is a little more than that. On arrival we were greeted by Daniel (a really nice guy) who explained all the hotels facilities before taking us to our room, he also gave us a briefing later that day about all the trips/walks in the area which was very helpful. We had upgraded to a junior suite (needed a bit of refurbishment) which included a balcony on two sides of the hotel and a sofa bed. The write up stated that it had a kettle in the room as well, however this turned out to be a coffee machine to make shots only. All of the staff were brilliant, very helpful and the majority spoke really good English. Breakfast was continental and included cereals, fruit/yogurt, cheese and meats with really good quality cobs as well as sliced bread, the only thing missing were some pastries. Breakfast is served in a large room situated to the other side of the restaurant with rows of tables joined together. There is also a large lounge area with a pool table and a selection of reading books to help yourself to and at basement level there is a sauna and small swimming pool. The views towards the mountains from the front of the hotel were fantastic with the sun being on our balcony first thing in the morning. This meant that in the evening as the sun set the mountains they were all lit up. The lift to all the floors is not secured on the door entry side meaning you need to keep away from that wall as the lift moves past the entry doors on each level (but it was okay to use). The safe rquires a refundable 10 CHF deposit. The hotel write up did say there were English speaking channels, there were 2 CNBC europe and Bloomberg. Suffice it to say we did not watch any TV during our stay (BBC news would have been nice).

    Very good place to stay

The hotel staff could not have been more helpful, from collecting our luggage from the station when we arrived as a walking group. The food is of an excellent standard with always a choice of dinner in the evening. There were special evenings, one a gourmet night with the most beautifully presented food and another a special buffet. Some of the rooms are on the small side but being out all day this did lnot matter. An excellent place to stay

    Beauty spot!

Thanks for a wonderful stay in your beautiful hotel. Stunning views from the balcony and great clean nice room. The location is ideal as you can simply just park your car for the duration of your stay and walk into town, go for a hike. Thanks for letting us park there too on the day of our departure even offering us the opportunity a shower after our hiking venture before driving home. Absolutely worth a revisit and the Nico restaurant also treated us to a delicious meal. Super friendly service and defiantly with a revisit in the future!
