This is one of those GREAT places

This establishment is well deserving of five stars. First and foremost, service was provided with great care. The Fasser family made us feel very welcome. They took the time to explain what there was to do in the area, and they called a local restaurant to see if we could get a table. Even though we didnt order breakfast, they still offered to bring us some fresh bread in the morning since most places would be closed on Sundays. One personal touch I found nice - at the front of their booklet which describes the amenities, there is a cute picture of their family dressed in more traditional local attire. One can see that they put their heart into running their business. The room was very spacious. We rented the four-person room which had a double-bed in its own room, a large pull-out in the living room, a long balcony that wrapped around one corner of the building, a kitchenette, two TVs and two full bathrooms. With our teenage son we are always happy to find a room to rent that offers a separate bedroom or two without having to book multiple rooms. The cost of the four-person room was surprisingly affordable compared to what we normally pay. The room was exceptionally clean. We found the Fassers working hard to clean the vacated rooms in the morning and they do a great job. Our room and the building in general had a feeling of home. Everything from the entryway to the rooms was tastefully and comfortably decorated with things like colorful pillows and artwork on the walls. We had the feeling that we were staying at a friends house rather than a rental. As an extra bonus for staying, we also received free passes to ride the local Kombibahn - a lift which takes you 1,600 meters into the mountains. From there you can continue hiking up to the peak of Alpkopf(?) and take some great pictures at 1800 meters. We walked at a very relaxed pace and made the round trip in about 90 minutes. This was a 42 Euro value for the three of us (15 euro for adults, 12 for children). This was unexpected, unplanned and turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! Just a warning it only runs on Thursdays and Sundays and does not run if it is raining. I imagine this location is quite popular during the winter for skiers. Even in the warmer seasons there seems to be plenty of options to hike available. Other additional nice touches free wireless internet, the option to have breakfast brought to you, coffee maker with coffee and walking distance to a nice local restaurant (Landgasthof Post).

100 % recomendable.

A bit of paradise in the mountains

We were looking for a place out of the city in the mountains near Neuschwanstein Castle and the Zugspitse cable car. Alpin Resort hit the mark. Arlette and Florian were excellent hosts. My son and I each got our own large rooms with private bath and queen size bed. Refreshing mountain air accompanied us to bed each night and a large breakfast was brought to our room each morning. This is clearly a ski town and we were surrounded by ski mountains. But being there off season has its advantages. It was a nice respite from the hectic cities and a 30 minute drive in opposite directions to both the castle and the tallest mountain in Germany. The rooms are not air conditioned but we did not need it. The air cooled off nicely every night and with the surrounding quiet, we could keep the windows open. Despite the small town and off season there were plenty of restaurants for lunch and dinner. Don't be fooled by the reasonable prices. If you don't need a fancy hotel with a spa, this is the place for you. Wish we could have stayed longer.

AMAZING suite near Zugspitze and Neuschwanstein castle

This place is WONDERFUL. We booked through Hotels.com (where it is called "Alpin Resort Austria") and couldn't have been more impressed. The place looks brand new / newly renovated. The room was large and spacious, the bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was spotless and comfortable (great water pressure in the shower too!), and the room included a free breakfast plate (coffee/tea, yogurt, bread, cheese). The room even had a balcony with cute chairs overlooking some mountains. VERY nice - cannot recommend more highly! My only complaint was that the wifi was exceedingly slow, so slow as to be rendered unusable by my husband and me. If they work on this, then they get 100% from me!

Woudl not visit again, better hotels in area

Rooms are okay. Breakfast is in the garden in a woorden shag (See photo) really cold and no central heating with breakfast. Would not recomment this hotel, also known as Alpin resort austria. In nearby area are way better hotels for the same price.
