  Maravillosa sofisticacion carente de pomposidad.

  No pierdan oportunidad de ir a esta joyita maravillosa.Un refugio de elegancia y clase enclavado en un pueblito maravilloso.Habitaciones lujosas,servicio delicado,higiene impecable.Un hotel boutique 1000 puntos.

  Excellent

  Excelente hotel en un pequeño pueblo de Piemonte. quedamos sorprendidos muy gratamente por la habitación, el edificio en general, el desayuno y el servicio. Fue un placer y nos quedamos con ganas de estar más tiempo en Barge. La decoración es una muestra de diseño y arte. Lo recomiendo y espero porder volver a alojarme en Alter Hotel.

  Great foundations, finish lacking

  On arrival the reception lady was fantastic. Showed us to our room and offered to help with the bags. The loft room was nicely decorated and large. The shower was terrible. It was small with jets coming from everywhere and only a curtain to keep the water in, ensuring that the floor would get wet. Overall the accommodation and the decor throughout the site was to a very high standard. The restaurant looked lovely with a menu focused on the art of food rather than Italian classics - great for a romantic night but not ideal for a younger family. Breakfast on the other hand was extremely simple, not really fitting to the offering for dinner and a real mismatch. They will charge you for most standard items found in a 4 star hotel including eggs and toast. But one of the most import thing to remember if you are staying is to have your breakfast early as they dont replace items used. We got to breakfast 45mins before the end and found a depleted offering and it was not replaced.

  Stay away

  Unbelivebly poorly managed Hotel, service is terrible, management is rude and will threaten you if you bring criticism, food is completely overpriced, anywhere is better than here, probably one of the worst hotels I have ever experienced,

  Not up to 4 stars

  The design looks good. But in the room several things do not work. In our case the airconditioning didnt work, host told us that system switches off when outside temp goes below 16C. Total nonsense if the room temp is above 23C! Bed lights didnt work either. We openend window for cooling, but then got all the street noise of passing traffic. All in all things can improve to get to a 4 star rating!
