  location very good

  Hotel location near to Sakai tran station and shopping center. Room very small and price also to high. TV in the room have only Japan chanel. Internet connection very very slow and bad in sometime. this hotel is good for location only.

  Close to train station, helpful staff

  This is a good choice for those who want a place near the train station because the hotel is practically located near the train station. The staff are friendly and accommodating despite of the language barrier. The room was incredibly small, though.

  Great service. Nice rooms

  I like this hotel. Clean, comfortable & great service from the staff. It's a near a mall with some shops and restaurants. And Osaka city center is only a couple of stops away. There are a couple of places of interests. I would say Sakai is a good alternative to the usual tourist areas where u can visit the ancient tomb and bicycle museum

  Simple but effective

  If you're looking for a hotel that has all the basic necessities and can be the perfect pit stop while traveling through west Japan and the general Osaka area then APA Sakai Ekimae gives you all that. The rooms are small and simple, but they have everything that you need. If you're looking for something a little more luxurious then possibly worth looking for a different brand of hotel. But for what you pay in Japan, which is as expensive as the stories claim, this hotel gives a more than adequate rate for what you receive. It's situated right next to Sakai station (which is NOT on the JR line) and has a few restaurants a short walk away. But it's also relatively easy to get a taxi to Sakaishi (around 1100¥) or use the Sakai line to Tennoji and pay the extra (around 300¥). The system for breakfast where you have to remember to bring down your slip can be irritating if you happen to be forgetful (like me). But the staff are very polite and friendly and are happy to serve you the two choices of breakfast. After six nights in this hotel I was a little sick of the repetitiveness - and it doesn't help that the breakfast finishes at 9:30 - last serving at 9:10. The western style breakfast has good sausages but the scrambled eggs always tended to be a little on the cold side, and drenched with ketchup. The alternative was a salmon fillet, again on the lukewarm side, but it came with a few extra sides. The fruit salad is very sweet but adds to the breakfast. There are a variety of hot and cold drinks, as well as congee and rice if you want a more traditional breakfast. The reception staff were very helpful with supplying us with a new room card when we happened to lose one and were more than happy to print my flight details when we checked out. In all, a very efficient and simple hotel, which is only a little bit out of the way.

  Close to transport

  The hotel looks pretty basic from the road but the rooms were not nearly as small as expected and the closeness to the train station is perfect for local travel. The hotel is clean and staff friendly (only a few staff speak English).
