    Good business hotel

We spent one week in Tokyo and we stayed at this hotel. Overall the place is good but very basic the room, like most of the business hotel in Japan. They say the room is double but you struggle to move around the bed if you have luggage with you. You have few stations around you between railways and underground, so it's easy to visit the city and going everywhere. Apa hotel is a chain hotel so you can find more of them spread all around Japan.

Good location with typically excellent Japanese service

Stayed here at the end of our holiday for three nights and found the location to be excellent for subway access to other parts of the city. Our second stay in an APA hotel, and it seems they are all similar in their design, layout and room size. Perfectly adequate for a short stay, but the rooms are smaller than Westerners have come to expect. Very clean with helpful staff. Our breakfast was included in the rate, though we only partook once as the traditional fare on offer was rather too much for us early in the day. Kept our luggage after check out which was helpful. As with all our stay in Japan, no safe in our room, but in our experience there is no need. The whole country is so safe and respectful, we had no worries with regards to our possessions, or ourselves at any time.

    Compact/Functional Style Hotel

APA hotels are almost in every location in Tokyo, strategically situated near metro stations, they have a check in machine so that you can reduce waiting time, but have staff at front desk to accommodate you. Hotel room is small, a bit cramped, they do this to help reduce carbon emmissions but in my opinion, it is a bit too small for 2 people to freely move inside, especially if you are also travelling with kids. They make up with the lack of space by maximizing functionality, all toiletries are provided, comb, shavers, you name it. Their shower has very good heater and the toilet bowl is very techy, you only need to push the buttons for bidet. Cool tech and advanced. It is a very major plus points for me, most of all their effort to exercise and educate people on segregating plastics vs biodegradable waste. They also give you an option to reward you with a bottle of mineral water if you opt not to have your bedding linens changed on make up room requests. Our booking didn't come with breakfast but not to worry, they have convenience stores nearby like Family Mart, 7/11 and Lawson. Their staff can communicate english fairly well. There's a laundry machine and dryer in the hotel for 100 yen per use. Wifi works quite well, tv cable options that have english language are news channels only like cnn, if you want you can pay for other programs. They are very trusting, i hope people don't abuse it..you can leave your hotel card on the drop box at the front desk if you are leaving early. Japanese staff are very polite, on time and dedicated. All in all (besides the space) I recommend this hotel.

    Excellent stay

Big fan of APA. Always clean, comfy bed, decent shower, excellent location. for the money you won't beat it in Tokyo. yes room is small, but that shouldnt be a surprise. plenty for one, at a push a couple. shouldn't be spending much time in your room in tokyo anyways, too much to do! wouldn't bother with the breakfast, there's a Jonathans across the street thats much better value/quality. minimart near by for essentials, and close to metro. walkable, just about to Tokyo Station, though not with luggage; only a short cab ride. there's a number of restaurants nearby. overall for the price hard to beat

    Great for a sort stay

I was here to see KISS and my buddy was staying down the road. I always stay in Shinjuku and tis is the first time in years I have stayed anywhere different. This was my third or fourth trip to Tokyo this year and I was only here for 2 nights. Tokyo business hotels are great if you know what to expect. Small, functional rooms, made for sleeping and showering. No frills. Had a single room which had a small double. Flooded the bathroom floor both times I used the shower (entertaining). I didnt book breakfast. I went to a coffee shop up the road. There are some cute izakaya if you turn left out of the hotel and a number of convenience stores within a stones throw in either direction. Walking distance to subways. Can help with takkyubin of your luggage. Would stay here again for a short stay.
