  Good Hotel in Kampala

  I have stayed here a few times on business trips to Kampala and it offers a good location, and high standard of accommodation, comparable to most of the chain hotels, (Hilton, Best Western, Sheraton) in the city but at a better price. The rooms are large 'suite style' with separate lounge with small kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom. All very clean. The staff are very helpful and friendly and location is very central. The hotel has a nice roof terrace restaurant that serves nice food and breakfast at a reasonable price. Only tip is ask for a room away from the road at the front which can be a bit busy through the night.

  Amazing Stay, Delightful Staff

  I stayed a few days in Kampala for business and had the most pleasant stay at the Arcadia Suites. The place was just right - not too crowded, comfortable, convenient, relaxing, peaceful and close to most of the places that I would need to visit. The staff was pleasant and very helpful and the gym was great. The restaurant was on the rooftop and the view of the cityscape was amazing. There was ample and secure parking, electricity and water pressure was excellent and the internet connection was superb. The room itself was just right, not too cramped with all the furniture well placed. There was a small lounge, kitchenette and counter where you can dump your laptop and get to work. Would love to come back...

  Modern hotel near Mulago Hospital and Makerere University

  I stayed for 2 weeks here and appreciated the creature comforts of the Arcadia. My suite was nicely furnished with a very comfortable bed. It was always clean and had a good air conditioning. On occasion the power would go out, but only for a few seconds as the generator kicked in right away. They have a very nice breakfast with a omelet station, fresh fruit, sausage, yogurt, potatoes, pancakes or French toast. They always had Ugandan coffee too. The restaurant provided great views and offered in expensive drinks at night. It was in walking distance of the Arcadia mall (pictured below)with an ATM, grocery store, and restaurants. Mulago Hospital was an easy walk which I walked every day to. Kira Road is busy and have to avoid the Boda Bodas- which is the only downside.

  Nice quaint hotel

  In spite of the neighbouring busy road, Arcadia is a calm haven. Staff is exquisitely kind, hotel is calm and peaceful, rooms are very clean, modern and spacious. One great advantage I found on other hotels I stayed in Africa, no smell of mold anywhere and the rooms are continuously ventilated. The restaurant offers a good quality of food. Not much choice for the breakfast, but it is decent. One downside for me was the gym, seems like it has been deserted for a while, air conditioning and treadmills do not work. The upside however is that the Hotel is well located in the heart of the city with Acacia mall just nearby.
