  Avoid

  This place is terrible and should be avoided. They're liars, scammers and incompetent. When checking in, they said we had to pay 600 pesos per person but a price plaque on the reception desk states "499 pesos per person". She told us that was the old price - LIAR. I told her if those were old prices then she should put the plaque away which she pretended to do because the next day I saw it back on the desk! After checking in I asked for toilet paper and she said they were out and made no effort to get more. RIDICULOUS. Also, they DO NOT provide soap. They advertised they have free wifi - DOES NOT WORK. Our room rate "includes airport pick up and drop off", when I asked for them to drop us off at the airport the next morning again the receptionist told me that was "old policy with old price" but the damn plaque that stated the old price with airport transfer was on her desk. I demanded a free drop off at the airport because my friend got a free airport drop off the previous morning from them. They are LIARS here!! There are far better places to stay in Puerto Princesa, this place is a nightmare!

  AVOID!!!

  This place is best avoided. We had checked in and wanted to return to our rooms but had been locked out, it took us about an hour of banging, shouting, ringing to finally get someone to come open the door for us (this was at 23:18 by the way that the door was opened, not too late at all). When the man finally opened the door he interrogated us saying we weren't staying there, was so so rude talking down to us, threatened to kick us out even though all we were trying to do was go up to bed! This hostel is better avoided for your own sake, after 7 weeks of bag packing is was BY FAR the worst place

  Avoid this place, horrible customer service experience!

  We had booked this place in advance prior to our first trip to Puerto Princesa. A few days prior to arrival, we had called to verify our reservations and it was confirmed. A day or two later, we had called and asked to get pricing for tour packages, since visiting their Facebook page we saw some advertisement for them. We called and the woman on the phone said that she was not at the office and for us to text her the last name and the date of our reservations and she will get back to us. We had also informed her of our itinerary and what time we would need to be picked up from the airport. We did not hear back from them. We called again a day or two prior and asked and reminded once again the time of arrival at the airport since they provide a shuttle to the hotel. We were told to text the information again and we did. If by chance they did not get the texts, when we were on the phone, she should have already taken our information since we had spoken at least 3 times at this point and all she wanted us to do was send her a text with the info. Now it is the day of our trip and we thought they would have our information at the hotel when we get there so we flew out and arrived at the airport. When we stepped out of the airport, there are folks from hotels outside with signs to pick up their guests and the family kept looking around and did not see our names. We stood there waiting looking like fools for at least 15 minutes as I had tried calling them at least 4 times with no answer. After about 40 minutes of waiting, we tried to call one more time and a woman answered the phone as if she had been woken up with a "hello". I told her who we were and she said she will send someone out. What??? We have been waiting all this time for no one??? Coming out of the airport, there are 2 little offices on the side offering tour packages and since we have been there a while we decided to check it out and see what they have to offer, we didn't feel good about the service we had been given and doubted the service we will receive if we continue our stay with them. We were able to reserve a hotel and tour packages in a matter of minutes and they already had a shuttle to give us a ride to the hotel we just booked. We also got a better deal than we would have spent on this place with poor service. As we were leaving, the person who was to be picking us up got there and we told her about the poor experience and she had the nerve to chase us down and remind us we had made reservations. We then reminded her to let whoever know that what she is now doing was what they should have done from our first contact with them. The kids were hungry and we should not have had to wait. Given that there are a lot of competition in this industry at Puerto Princesa, you would think they would maintain a high level of standard to stay in business. We won't be calling this place at all and I hope whoever chooses to book with this place would have a better experience than we have had, but I tell you, there are less expensive places to stay and still be comfortable.

  My worst ever hotel experience!

  Before booking for this hotel, I have already read the reviews. However, I trusted that maybe some people are just picky, so I gave this place the benefit of the doubt. Booked for one night last May before going to Puerto Princesa, Palawan. I have asked them before if there were free breakfast, and even the closest landmark to the hotel. I also called to inform them that we will arrive late due to the flight delay. Room has been paid in full via hotels.com. However, when we arrive, they told us that it was fully booked, WOW! Even saying that we don't have a room booked for us. And even mentioned that "hotels.com" could be somehow a fake website or scammer that pretends to be a legit website, My God! Even after I showed the staff my printed booking. At almost 10pm, I have to look for another hotel with NO LUCk, with my Senior Citizen parents behind , ended up staying in a Lodge with a Fan Room. When I sent a text message to their number confronting them why it happened? There was NO reply anymore! Try to find somewhere else.

  don't expect much

  simple place to stay in, nothing to see here unless you go out. eat outside before returning and bring food. just like your in a dormitory. customer service is thumbs down. that's why don't expect much here.
