  Rethink on staying

  We booked this hotel because we wanted to visit the Drachenfels castle and stay overnight in Konigswinter on the Rhein, well look elsewhere, the hotel is quite run down, carpets are very dirty, even though rooms are reasonably clean. Beware when checking out they do not try to grab more tourist tax, when we booked we made sure that the price we paid included all taxes...they wanted cash for tax payment. Breakfast was not worth having, the coffee was terrible and if you wanted espresso then you had to pay extra. We also found staff to be quite blunt....towards I do not care attitude. The local youth also park in the square beside the hotel and play their music until the early hours....not to mention the town bells chime every 15 minutes and they are only 50m away. Not to mention the fact that Konigswinter shuts down after the tourist buses leave,hardly any restaurants are open and those that are only take cash. Do not recommend staying in Konigswinter, their are much friendlier villages further south.

  Handy location, undercover parking

  Secure undercover parking. Stayed here for one night. Great choice at breakfast with the dining room overlooking the Rhine, spectacular views. Right on the river with excellent facilities nearby for shopping and eating during the day. Not many staff on hand and the wifi code didnt work to connect to the apparently free wifi.

  From the Hotel and the Room - a beautiful view of Rhein river and the alley

  A very convenient and beautiful location,room with a nice view of Rhen river,sailing boats and ships and street view. Rooms are clean and comfortable with a few simple items of furnitures and without any frills. Not many service or amenities available except a wide choice of breakfast. Nearby this hotel,a number of restaurants are however available serving a variety of food.

  Good value modern hotel on the Rhine

  Big light rooms, and if you are lucky a full view of the Rhine. Friendly helpful staff. Better value than other accommodations we tried in Königswinter. Easy walk from town facilities, and just next to the aquarium.

  Nice view to the Rhine

  The hotel is nice enough clean. Be aware not to check in to late, otherwise keys have to be taken out from the safe. I had to phone up the number and all was already in place. I didn't see the emails they send me. The garage needed to be opened from inside.
