tranquil retreatWe have just returned from Katelios Bay View House. The house is new and spotlessly clean with fresh good quality bed linen and towels provided twice a week. there is an infinity pool and jacuzzi with ample space adjacent for the sunloungers. The only downside is the elevated position means steep driveway and 2 lots of steps to get from car parking area up to the house,so no good if you are not able to get up steps. Katelios is a charming village, quiet and relaxing with a few waterside tavernas and bars.( we especially liked the Blue Sea taverna.) A car is essential to get from the house to the sea and supermarket but thats included in the holiday if you book with Simply Travel. The beach is not really as good as others on the island - we would drive to nearby Skala for a paddle! We really enjoyed our late season break and would definitley return. If you like peace and quiet this is for you.

HeavenWe stayed at this Villa a few years ago when Thompsons had it. Unfortunately its now only available though Vintage Travel who tripled the price straight away which meant we can no longer afford it. The villa has a stunning pool with views to die for. The position is fantastic, completely secluded. There is only 1 other villa at this level on the hillside and you only see it when you are coming and going. Nobody can pass your villa, it is at the end of the track. We used to walk to and from the village even though a car is recommended, Downhill is fine but uphill is hard work although more than worth it when you reach the villa and sink into the jacuzzi by the pool !! We only did this walk when the sun went down i don't think it woulod be a good idea in the heat of the day, anyway that gave is a good excuse not to leave the villa all day! inside is beautiful, very light and airy with a double height kithen/living area. we would definitely have returned the following year if Thompsons still had it, sadly It is out of our proce range now. I would highly recommend this villa. Absolutely stunning.
