    Dishonest housekeeping staff ruined experience

    Been here a number of times, it is well situated and usually reliable, pricing a bit steep. The stay and accommodations were decent enough given pandemic adjustment. Hotel did not advise on guidelines at check-in, so needed to figure out based on some signage. They could not enforce the guidelines on masks, directions for using stairs, and distancing, many people ignored most directions, including some of the staff, only the restaurant staff adhered to guidelines and did a great job. The most disappointing aspect was that we left an expensive hair dryer behind and realized it a day or so later. No one from housekeeping turned it in or would own up to finding it. I travel a lot and have left many things behind over the years in many places, and 99% of the time hotel housekeeping turns it in and i get it back, often with hotel going through great lengths to facilitate. If we had taken their cheap room hair dryer i am sure housekeeping would have accounted for it and charged us for removing it. This is clearly dishonest housekeeping staff so be wary and check for all of your items carefully before leaving because you won't get it back if you leave anything of value behind. Very disappointed for a Cape May experience, where honesty and friendliness have been a hallmark.

    Bad Service

    I realize that with Covid there are going to be issues. However, we had over an hour wait for a take out order - a burger and a salad! Then I got all the way back to our hotel room and realized my Caesar salad had no chicken which I paid for! It turns out that they had the order ready the whole time in the fridge and we were waiting right in front of the take out bar the entire time. I even asked hostess and she rudely pointed and told me to talk to the bartender. After asking 3 times, they found that the order was ready the whole time! Food was not worth the wait. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Signs and procedures were not clear. I couldn't get a hold of a manager via phone call after we left so I never got my money back for the chicken! So since I couldnt go all the way back I paid $13+ for a bowl of lettuce. Terrible. Won't be back.

    No Aloha in the Ohana Suite

    We booked this hotel last minute, in the past we stayed at Congress Hall but it was completely booked. We knew that this hotel was part of the Cape Resorts, so we were excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, the Ohana Suite was a shock to us. The room cost a small fortune and was beat up. It looked like a garage sale gone wrong and still had crumbs on the floor from the people before us. Pros: location- everything is walkable and it has beach service which is nice for a quick getaway. Cons: the place was dirty and the Ohana suite has not been updated since the 70s. It has 3 bedrooms but they are bare bones, only one tv in the entire space. The bathrooms had missing tiles and no water pressure. Maybe the regular rooms are nicer... We felt lucky to have a place last minute, but I wouldnt come back here. Lesson learned.

    Great stay right on the beach

    From the pre-arrival text to the staff this hotel is great. The guy that checked us in was amazing and full of knowledge. Forget his name but he lives in Wildwood was there most of the time. You don't have to bring anything to the beach as they supply towels, chairs, and umbrellas free of charge to hotel guests. They also give you beach tags which is a huge saving. The housekeeping staff was great! We didn't get service most days due to a napping baby but they gave us everything that we needed.

    Clean and Welcoming

    This was a great place to stay in Cape May very clean and personnel were helpful and welcoming. The free beach lounge chairs and umbrellas is a plus. The only negatives is this is a motel style hotel so can be quite noisy especially if you are looking to just relax but great place to bring children. The other negative is they have the Rusty Nail and when you come back in the evening there is not where to park they should have some parking for hotel guests only. I would recommend this especially for families reasonably priced and always my concern very clean.
