  Una semana de encanto !

  He pasado una semana realmente fantastica con amigos en este pequeño hotel. La casa principal con salones, bar, comedor al aire libre, los bungalows ubicados en un precioso jardin muy bien cuidado y lleno de rinconcitos con hamacas para leer tranquilamente o hechar una siestita. Melanie, la propietaria siempre atente y disponible, el personal muy gracioso y encantador. Comida excelente y cocktails buenisimos ! Hay Wi-Fi en la casa principal y funciona perfectamente y es el unico hotel en los alrededores que tiene internet a disposición de los clientes. Recomiendo la Honeymoon suite que es una pasada con su terraza y vista impresionante al oceano ! Me sentia como en casa !

  Welcome to paradise

  Estuvimos 7 noches a finales de noviembre-principios de diciembre en este pequeño hotel. Lejos del jaleo nocturno de otros pueblos de la isla y de las "hordas" de turistas de la zona norte, Bellevue ofrece un alojamiento encantador al lado de la playa, donde puedes dormir escuchando el sonido del bosque, con una comida fantástica y un trato excelente, a un precio muy asequible. Es la elección perfecta si buscas tranquilidad.

  MALO / BAD /

  Mal servicio, el agua del grifo huela mal, y te cobran agua para que te puedas lavar los dientes. Me robaron 100 euros de mi maleta, y el día siguiente 100 euros mas de la maleta de mi amigo, se lleva el 60 por ciento de pedir un taxi. Maleducado el dueño Paul, solamente porque nos buscamos la vida para movernos en lugar de dejar que nos tomara el pelo el y su señora Le pega a sus propios perros y en publico podría seguir todo el día pero creo que es suficiente

  Quiet and charming location, friendly accommodation close to beach

  Really enjoyed our 4 days here & loved the guided sea safari trip - low tide walk to see rope-making, seaweed farms, and lots of corals and sea creatures. It ended with village tour & tasty lunch cooked in village. We'd booked Bellevue directly, partly because of Lonely Planet reccs and links to local projects but it didn't quite live up to earlier reviews. It needed a bit more 'hands on' and TLC. We stayed in the garden cottage (ground floor) - lovely, spacious open plan with sofa area & fridge, & shady outside patio. When we arrived some things, incl. electric points and a fan weren't working but were quickly fixed by friendly staff. Overall we liked the ambience which was relaxed and friendly but felt that the owners/managers needed to be more present. When Debby, the owner was not around, staff seemed slightly unfocused. Breakfast one morning when we were booked to go out early took over 50 mins to arrive. Evening meals could also be slow though the food was worth waiting for. Another restaurant along the beach offered tasty food and informal atmosphere. Lovely small pool with cooler water than sea for when the tide was low. Beach was a short walk away down steep steps and along a path. But but you had to carry your own mattress down. Unfortunately I tripped and fell coming back one day because I missed a stone on the path through carrying a large mat. Most resorts seemed to set out and collect mats which would have avoided my big bump and graze (happily not worse!).

  An experience for my family, simply to enjoy

  A very postponed comment, but better late then never... In October 2019 we spent two nights in this hotel. We - that was "Babu" ( grandpa = me ), my daughter, my son-in-law, my granddaughters aged 13, 11, 4 years. Lisa, our four-year-old girl was often running around with Bente, the daughter of Debbie and Paul. How I read in other comments: Friendly, laid-back and efficient. I would say it is "Dutch" :-) Actually I am living in Northern Germany in an only 25 km ( roughly 13 miles ) distance to the Netherlands. The arrangement was booked and recommanded by our friend Noreen in Stone-Town and we have to thank her for that. As a family of six we had a house for us, two floors which were great and comfortable to use for us. At any time we found a great place for us in the restaurant, prepared in the morning for a great breakfast and welcoming us for lunch or dinner. There are cozy corners to sit and you feel just "in family". Again it is the not complicated Dutch way to make you feel at home but also staff was always helpful, friendly and literally reading your wishes from your lips and all of that with a smile and very service-orientated but in a natural way. Our rooms were great, well ventilated by open windows, large and fully equipped. Debbie and Paul offered real hospitality. My daughter is now following their music-stream even :-) You have monkeys around but they do not steal. The beach is near-bye and you can have time for you yourself there, it is very quiet. We had been there and it felt like a private swimming-pool. Once we wanted to get a car with a driver, wich was easily arranged by the hotel. The pick-up at the hotel was "on the point" and also the pick-up for return, very reliable. It was all in all a perfect service and I hope we all can see again "after covid". I am sure we could have asked for more tours or arrangements, but we were already super-happy. To mention the kitchen: it was great, too. Starting with a perfect breakfast and lunch or dinner á la carte, coming with a perfect service, friendly and in time.
