  Love this hotel

  I stayed in Hotel a few years ago. This stay was just as nice. I am glad they are keeping the decor authentic. It has so much character. It is clean and quiet. Breakfasts are good also. Walking distance to many small eateries.

  The Roaring Twenties!

  I spent three nights at The Bigelow. I really enjoyed my stay here. I had a 6th floor King suite which was very nice. My bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was fantastic. Housekeeping did a great job in servicing my room. Front desk staff were friendly and welcoming, answering all of my questions about this grand hotel. I quite enjoyed the 20s music bring piped into the hallways. The lobby area is a real trip back to the 1920s. Be sure to check out the old photos both in the lobby as well as the M2/mezzanine. The views from the upper floors are amazing - mountains, sunsets and downtown Ogden. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was under construction and no breakfast was available (due to nearby construction, I believe). Im happy to see that this grand historic hotel has been saved and continues to provide guests an opportunity to take a trip back in time.

  JUST DONT!!!

  Ive never been more embarrassed to stay somewhere for an anniversary. I thought I did my research. The lobby and conference rooms do not disappoint so if you never have to go upstairs, youre just fine. The nicest part of this place are the ceilings in the lobby! Im not sure how these people leaving glowing reviews of this place are being truthful. Unless they have one floor completely renovated or a couple rooms redesigned for pictures - but I took my own pictures. They have zero interest to make it right. We could have paid less for a much nicer hotel. Paid top dollar to stay in a motel that is literally falling apart around us. Started in room 405, ended up in room 704 - Both were a complete disaster and not suitable to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary! Front desk staff was lovely enough and offered to change my room to a nicer one after I tripped twice on the carpet walking out of the bathroom that wasnt secured down - WAY WAY too OLD. WE paid extra for a breakfast that was non existent. Didnt dare shower. Total bait and switch and a lawsuit just waiting to happen. Get it together Bigelow! You cant have a fully renovated historic hotel without updating your rooms. Its just not safe and I would never recommend staying here, EVER!

  Old and interesting. Also haunted.

  A very nice and interesting hotel. Situated in the middle of downtown Ogden, this hotel is sorta a visit. Rumored to be haunted! Although the hotel is old, it has been refurbished and the rooms are very nice. Plenty to do and everything is an easy walk. Give it a try.

  Disappointing Historic Hotel - The Website Pictures Look Better Than In Person

  The good: great location, on historic register, spacious rooms, clean. Friendly staff. The bad: Poor parking; renovation and nearby construction projects; lots of steps without ramps entering and leaving the hotel - made it difficult for my wife and others. Not a handicap accessible hotel! No dresser in our room; very dated rooms, baths, etc. with worn furniture; we had a corner room facing the street and there was a lot of street noise (had to wear ear plugs); rattle in heating duct (had to turn off at night); WiFi was awful - had to use cellular; no hot breakfast (kitchen closed because of adjacent construction and the continental breakfast provided was barely adequate (on one morning there was no decaf coffee!); dining area was very drab - as was much of the hotel; no amenities to speak of, including no business area; room rate was too high for the low quality experience. Next time we would most likely stay at the Courtyard Marriott. This is potentially a gem of a hotel. I hope they put the money into it needed to make it a fine hotel.
