  Peculiar

  Un poco anclado en el pasado, las tradiciones están bien pero hay que actualizar un poco sin perder el encanto. Agradable estancia de tres noches en el hotel, habitación clásica, limpia y caliente, buen desayuno continental mas opciones a elegir en el momento, buena y tranquila cena en el pequeño y acogedor comedor. Fantástica ubicación en la campiña inglesa con su señorial edificio perfectamente mantenido.

  Very Nice Stay

  Recently stayed at Callow Hall with my wife for a 2 night stay on a bed and breakfast basis. Met friends here who also stayed. Hotel set in a wonderful position and building itself is magnificent. However inside, especially the bedrooms,is rather tired and need some TLC. Both our bedroom and that of our friends were large with a 4 poster bed and reasonable sized bathroom. Both looked out over the valley which was superb. Unfortunately our friends bedroom was dark due to the dark wallpaper on walls. Ours was reasonably light but the wallpaper pattern was rather over-powering. Staff were extremely helpful and very friendly. Breakfast was superb on both mornings and freshly cooked to order. We had dinner in the hotel on the first night which again was superb. Overall a lovely stay and we will definitely be returning but will make it in the summer months to get the full benefit.

  Another wedding anniversary dining extravaganza

  My wife and I celebrate our wedding anniversary at Callow Hall every December (we got married there). We went last night, and enjoyed great service from "opening the door for us" to "opening the door for us" when we left. This is a lovely "country house" set right in the country, but close to Ashbourne. There is free car parking right outside. There is a small bar where we enjoyed pre-dinner drinks. We were brought menus and placed our orders. We were called through to the dining room and enjoyed three delicious, hot courses. I cannot speak more highly of our experience. We understand that refurbishment / extension / addition of a spa starts shortly, so we expect Callow Hall to be closed for a few months shortly. Suggest check... We're looking forward already to our next anniversary.

  Wedding

  My son got married here over the weekend and it was a most memorable occasion. The hotel was lovely and the staff so obliging and helpful. The food was also excellent. The views from the hotel are stunning and it's certainly a beautiful location for a wedding.

  Attempted Meal At Callow Hall

  The place is closed. The outside looked very tired and driveway is potholed. We arrived and was told they might re-open in the summer of 2020, but probably not. If your wedding is planned, then residents tell us they put up a marquee and pull out all the stops. But dont go at present for a meal....they are shut.
