  Excellent

  Everything was excellent. Quality of food, service , menu choice. Bedroom large spacious clean plenty of hanging for clothes . Bathroom spacious clean . We found all the staff exemplary. These are very difficult times for everyone but nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again . Quiet and relaxing.

  Good break all things considered

  Spent two night with my wife and I during half term break, staff very helpful quite plain but good considering we are in the middle of pandemic the hotel does well to keep thins going, pool open and able to walk around the grounds, the setting for hotel fabulous.

  Very impressed

  Very impressed by the excellent quality and value of the 2 night D,B&B deal we just got for our anniversary. We will go back and have already recommended it to friends & family. Well worth the money and a chef that can cook steak EXACTLY as ordered.

  We were made to feel welcome on arrival. We were given directions to the lounge where afternoon tea was being served. A young man brought through a lovely selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes. We also had a second pot . Social distancing was in place and masks worn but it didnt spoil our visit

  Disappointed

  My husband booked a 2 night package directly with the hotel explaining it was our 25th anniversary. The room they gave us looked more like a dated lounge in a care home with single beds. This was rectified and they gave us the room my husband had asked for when making the booking. COVID restrictions meant we had to pre order dinner and agree a time to eat.We sat down expecting the waiter to greet us and ask what we would like to drink, instead our starter was placed in front of us and he was off. We eventually had to ask for a wine list. Our expectation of a leisurely, relaxed meal was gone. Literally after finishing one course the next one was on the table. After 4 courses we were in and out in an hour. Although the quality of the ingredients was good the food was lukewarm. At no point during the 2 dinners or breakfasts did anyone say is everything all right or can I get you anything else. We felt that the staff were desperate to get finished as early as possible and didnt show any customer service at all. You would think under the circumstances they would be happy to be working and to give guests the experience they are paying for. We certainly wont be back.
