  Pleasent stay

  First off: JEFF was great at the front desk! Please give him a raise and a bonus. My family and I stayed at a total of 13 hotels during an extended road trip. The best service we had during the entire trip was from Jeff at the Candlewood Suites in Grand Island NE. We checked in before dinner and immediately could hear a very loud family right next door. We waited for a few minutes to see if they would quiet down to no avail. We were positive that a room change wouldn't be possible due to Covid. My husband convinced me to ask just in case. I was worried that the policy would be to ask the family to be quiet first, and then I would feel awkward and icky all night. Jeff was more than accommodating. He assured us that the walls were very thick and that noise complaints were not an issue at the Candlewood Suites. The only similar room would be right across the hall, which still seemed too close to this very loud family (they had their door propped open on top of the yelling and kids fighting). Jeff was able to secure a king-bed room at the other end of the hall which would have been more expensive, but he comped it. He didn't make us feel like we were asking too much. I'm sure with COVID it wasn't easy to have to re-sanitize the room that we had stepped in for 5-10 minuets but again, he did not make it seem like a problem. Later on in the evening we saw the locker of toys and games to check out. We felt like we were bothering Jeff so much, but he had no problem whatsoever unlocking it to grab some blocks for our toddler to play with. The room was great. Comfortable, quiet (phew!), and exactly what we needed for the night.

  This place is awesome

  Check-in was efficient, staff was friendly, and the room was spotlessly clean. Everything was very well kept, it seemed brand new. The beds were ultra comfortable. One of the best hotel stays we have ever had. I highly recommend this hotel.

  Excellent stay!

  Wow....WOW!!! This was our first time staying at a Candlewood Suites hotel and we have found our new favorite hotel chain! The room was HUGE, and very clean. Beds were so comfortable with big, fluffy pillows. Fully stocked kitchenette, nice size bathrooom. Very quiet. As we had been on the road for several days, I was thrilled to find a big laundry room (no extra charge!) in which to do a load of laundry. I did not use the gym area but it looked very nice. Front desk staff very friendly. Located near lots of places to shop and eat. If we ever pass through Grand Island again we will most definitely be stopping here!

  Clean and spacious

  Our family of five needed a place that would accommodate all of us on a road trip, and Candlewood Suites was an excellent choice. The suite was very spacious and very clean. The kitchenette included tea, coffee, popcorn, dishes, a refrigerator, sink, stove, and microwave. The large desk was great for computers. The bedding was all comfortable. The bathroom was large and had plenty of wall-mounted soaps. I was grateful that the hotel had signage requiring masks and signs encouraging social distancing. It was not very crowded, so we didnt come into contact with many others. We would stay here again if passing through. The location was very convenient off the highway and near restaurants and stores.

  No control

  We came here for a wrestling tournament as apparently so did multiple others. It was so loud with people drinking on the main floor. We asked multiple times when it would quiet down and were reassured it would happen but never did. If I was 21 without kids this would have been great but Im not. Oh and no breakfast...
