Most terrible experiences had in a Tunisian hotel.

Polluted hotel Told to check-in at 2pm but zere given the rooms at around 4pm Costumer service was terrible Paid the full price for a 3-bed room but were given a double room , when we told the personnel they literally told us to either take it or get the f*** out Wouldn't recommend to anyone even on a low budget

It's a big shame, my stay was a nightmare

The hotel doesn't follow the covid protocol: full capacity, no social distancing, restaurant and public toilets are not up to hygienic standards, Service is very poor everywhere, Staff are rude Long line and long waiting paces in the reception, Communication between departments is very poor. The reception has no public area cleaner, it was very dirty Public toilets has no soap dispenser, they provided just 2 soap bars for everyone! It was aweful.

The worse on so many levels

Please avoid going to this hotel, I noticed many good reviews which made me go for it, but they are not Hi est and truthful reviews, be careful. This hotel doesn't respect the covid sanitary protocole, even when we advised the director about the big crowd in reception he literally said "I don't care, people should care for themselves". The room was filthy with insects, dirt, and even previous guests' hair and dirty socks and plates. Very old rusted sanitary, it was a catastrophic hygiene. The staff was not friendly and yell at people. Regarding food, it was simply tasteless, always the same things everyday, with a lot of bad attitude from the kitchen staff. The only decent thing about it is the access to the sea, and the pool, which apparently lead the management to treat its guests like garbage.

    What a trip to Africa!

This is my overview and my user experience of the hotel and services, which we observed during our time here. 1. This is a different culture and country, then you can be going from (in our case - Europe), so there are things, which might be not as you expected. Things like the surrounding places with a lot of garbage, ruins, and plastics...are there. You won't be able to overlook them. The hotel resort is clean and nice (except things thrown by tourists in the hotel...) 2. After we arrived at the hotel, we were waiting for 2,5 hours to get the room. Which was crazy, considering the whole day travel (PT, plane, PT), and in some way you felt really exhausted...while standing at the reception desk and waiting for the personnel to see which room is ready. If you paid for a sea view, you have to tell the reception about that. Do not forget to ask for a second access card to the room. 3. Room service and the room itself. We were not told to do that, but anyway, leaving each day 10 TND for the room service was worth the price. The room was cleaned nicely, beds done nicely, floor cleaned and all things were without an issue. Unfortunately, if you have one of the old rooms, the bathroom might be in not good condition. Doors might look not so good and also the balcony doors are worth replacing them. 4. Food and drinks- it was almost the same each day, with some small adjustments. However, if you want to eat the same things as if you will be at home, then your expectation will not be fulfilled. Here, you have options to try local food, nice side dishes, and some local things (pita, etc.). The pizza here was great :). To drink you have the option to take bottles of water from the bar, both natural water and sparkling. The coffee here is pretty sweet, it is more about chocolate than the real coffee. You can buy for 4 TND Turkish coffee to have the real coffee experience. Bars were working without any issues, giving you what you paid for. 5. Services - animation options are just great. You can spend the whole day by going from the room, towards the pool, beach, back and still have a good time there. From a relaxing time to some gym activities, some party things, and games for both adults and kids. Our kids loved the staff and have a great time with them :) You can buy some trips, in case you will be interested. Do not forget to negotiate about the price - this is a common rule if the price is not written, you SHOULD negotiate. Why I selected the 3 from 5 ratings? 1. No information about using the room and how to engage the reception. The reception was not 100% 24x7, sometimes you would need to wait for someone to come, even in the day time. 2. The room was nice, but the bathroom makes the experience not so good. Also, we have to move due to failed AC. 3. Fruits availability - we were disappointed a bit. No bananas, oranges, citrus fruits, just the same thing, which we can get in Europe. 4. Escalation of things required at least two times at the reception desk. Although you got the impression, that your issue has been addressed, some of the tourists were complaining that after the second or third urgency, things are being solved. 5. No instructions about the hotel offerings in one place. You have to ask for almost everything - where to get towels, for the second access card, activities where and when are being done, etc. 6. Wifi only in the lobby and the speed was not good. 7. During our time, we were experiencing a LOT of local people, which creates a lot of queues for almost everything (from Friday till Sunday noon). We were told that the hotel can be occupied by only 50% of its capacity, but the weekend looks like the hotel was almost full. 8. Aquapark was opened, but not all lines were open. Just some of them and those, which were the nicest to have, were closed. Some advice 1. At the reception, there is Mohamed, speaking very well English and he is really polite and helping you a lot. If you will chat with him and have a good time, he will make sure you will get a great room and help you with any issues you might have. 2. Say thanks to those, who are working there, especially in the kitchen. If you will be nice to them, they will be nice to you and after a few days, they will greet you nicely. 3. Get used to "baki" (tip) which is a small thing to you, but a lot for the local people working there. If you will do that, you will be handled with special care. The tip can be from 5 to 10 TND. 4. If you do not know something, ask the question. For everything. No question is stupid. 5. If you are coming in a bulk of people, utilize the help from the delegate.
