Excellent AparthotelVery good rooms with lovely bathroom (recently refurbished). Comfortable beds and friendly staff. Location good. Off the main road, but you are downtown in a standard hotel, so yes view of alleyway not the river! Minor quibbles - Breakfast buffet ok and efficient rather than nice. I haven't stayed in many Aparthotel so sorry if the following is unfair, but.... The kitchenette really was plates, a pot and cutlery. Wasn't expecting to be able to prepare a Tudor banquet but had to go to reception for a corkscrew (which they helpfully supplied ) . Bit of extra effort would go a long way.

Home in BremenGreat location between Central Station and Center; large apartment with lots of outside light; well kept and cleaned. Discounted parking nearby. Friendly staff helping to find our way in Bremen. To get to a five star rating, as we were with a family of four, we would not mind glasses, plates and cutlery for four persons; but that is the only criticism.

Great location, helpful staff, good breakfastWe chose this hotel because we were travelling by train and the hotel is near the main railway station. What we didn't realize was that there are two parts in the hotel: the apartments and the ordinary hotel rooms. We were in an apartment, which wasn't very cosy but we had a spacious living room with a tiny kitchenette, big bedroom and a good sized renovated bathroom. However, the kitchenette had a funny collection of things. Yes, we had a kettle, a few plates and two mugs but no spoons, knives or forks. Instead we had a ladle and spatula but no pans! We had washing up liquid and a brush but no tea towels or cloths. When I talked to the reception people about this , they said we should have let them know what we needed in advance because stuff gets stolen. Obviously we didn't know what we needed until we saw what they had or didn't have! Our bed was comfortable and we had a big cupboard with plenty of hangers for clothes in the bedroom. However, the reading lights were very bad. Our room looked onto an alley, where a lot of loud voices could be heard until late in the night. We never figured out if they came from other rooms or a bar nearby. The door between the bedroom and bathroom was partly made of opaque glass and partly clear glass. We didn't think it gave you enough privacy not to mention the light disturbing the other person who was trying to sleep! The bathroom itself was big, had a big bath with a shower, heated floor and a lot of countertop space. However, there were only two hooks to hang up the hand towels. There would have been a lot of space on the walls to put up (heated) racks for bath towels! Instead you had to hang your wet towels on door/shower frames or in the cupboard. The toilet paper holder was elegant but you had to take the roll out of it to use the paper! The staff was very helpful. When we had a problem with the water not going out of the bath very quickly, it was fixed immediately-. Also, we were given spoons and knives when we asked for them. We did get the feeling, though, that nobody had taken the trouble to check the room for potential problems or ask what we needed in the kitchen. Breakfast was in the actual hotel in a bright room. There was a big selection of good food and quick and efficient service.
