  Horrible experience at Club Patara

  Dear all, We booked through RCI, who fooled us and made us from customer to begger. As soon we landed a deserted room was given where even door was not closing. Another room was a result of an argument. The room seems to be dirty and never cleaned in the next 2 days, not even trash. No hot water for bath, no water for drinking. Ultimately we decided to vacate the room and shift to another hotel. Pl do not book at least through RCI , absolutely non sense experience, still you get attracted by their foolish promises then enjoy and repent.

  Worst service

  The staff is least bothered about your experience. They won't even help you with any transport facility or local attractions. When I visited in November, they literally had no amenities. They say that they have a temperature controlled indoor swimming pool which was open 365 days, but on asking they said that it was not working. You instantly feel unwelcomed by the kind of service you get. I had 7 days of complimentary stay at the resort through RCI, but I decided to check out in 3 days. Indeed they have a great view, but their service is the worst I have ever experienced.

  HORRIBLE

  We stayed at RCI club patara Kalkan in dec 2018 and had the most awful experience.. we arrived at night and since it was December it was quite chilly.. we were taken to our rooms (1 bedroom and living) which was quite run down and not well maintained at all... no amenities were provided.. like basic water, tea, coffee.. we had to pay extra for electricity and water that we used for a shower .. even the toilet paper and garbage bag had to be purchased .. dishwashing soap was not provided and had to be bought.. and guess what, they didnt even have a store nearby and expected us to walk into town which was 20 mins away to buy these things.. facilities were lousy.. the heater was an air conditioner unit kept at 30 deg which blew out warm air.. it didnt heat up the room at all.. it was only in the living room so the bedroom was stone cold.. I couldnt even lie down on the bed coz the cold just hit me... we froze all night and even got a bit sick the next day.. when we requested for a heater they said it wasnt available.. this is not what I expected after paying a huge sum of money.. the bathroom was small and disgusting and the shower area so small that the shower curtain kept sticking to my body when I was having a shower.. GROSS .! I was disgusted.! also, when I checked the rates online, it was even cheaper than what Rate RCI gave us.. so whats the point of this membership?? the restaurant we were taken to was part of the same property and belonged to the PATARA PRINCE hotel... it was fabulous.. we immediately went to see the rooms and they were lovely.. we shifted into this hotel immediately the next day.! We lost money on the RCI but we couldnt stand to stay there for a minute more .! This hotel had everything the RCI didnt.. lovely heated rooms.. breakfast included.. a great chef who cooked up something for us anytime of the day.. GREAT service Sedat and ahmet served us v well and were just a phone call away if we needed anything.. the manager of the hotel was v obliging and made sure we were taken good care of..! The property is beautiful and I m sure will b gorgeous in the summer but plz plz dont make the mistake of staying at the RCI rooms ... stay in prince patara hotel which is 2 mins down the road and far better in every way.!

  Stay at Kalkan

  The location was surreal. But we were not informed about the off season for tourism in Kalkan hence the place was a lot deserted. The villa was spacious and haf basic amenities but the services were very poor. Nobody around knew English and hence communication was very difficult. Wi-Fi was only available around the security guards chamber and extra charges were there for electricity & water. We also, had to request multiple times for extra blankets and place also didnt have basic bath accessories. There wasnt any person from Club Patara for any assistance or guidance. When we reached the property at 4am we had to wait outside in heavy rain for the manager to come and provide us our first villa, which was in no way comfortable or had capacity for 4 adults. Despite prior informing them about the number of people & time of arrival. The town was very pretty but the no hospitality from club Patara.

  Level of comfort was low

  The staff was very kind and knew how to help the resident. The level of the appartment was low. No coffee machine, no dish-washer, or laundry mashine... The trim of the appartment was old and oldfashioned. The Shuttle-service was very good between appartments and downhill, close to sea located pools, hotel and restaurants.
