  Good value, good service, close to train station

  I have stayed at many business class hotels near train stations in Japan. Although this Comfort Hotel is not the newest, it offers good value and service while being within about a 5 minute walk from the main train station in Kokura, Kyushu. My room had a double bed with two pillows and a nice sized desk with plenty of outlets for charging iPhones etc. It also had wired internet that was decently fast. The window opened for some fresh air and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast bar was standard for a Japanese Comfort Hotel which is to say not fantastic but acceptable. The fruit and vegetables were fresh, and the coffee, brewed fresh for every cup, was very good. The pastries here, and the other Comfort Hotels I have samples, were not fresh and I recommend passing on them. Overall, if this hotel is in your price range, then I recommend it.

  Very reasonable, worth the price

  Clean rooms, a selection of pillows of your choice. They do go out of their way to make your stay bearable. A bit disappointed with the shower head, because these were not able to take advantage of the decent hot water pressure (if it was, the shower would have been over average). The breakfast is better than other comfort hotels. Close to the station. Highly recommended for the budget business traveler.

  It is close to the Kokura station.

  It is about 5 minutes walk from the exit from Shinkansen side of the Kokura Station (You will see this hotel from the station). The hotel is very clean and looks still new. The room is dinky, but there are enough equipment that you need such as free Wifi, slippers, hair dryer..... And, breakfast buffet is included. I like this hotel chain, and would recommend anyone who is looking for a reasonable but comfortable hotel.

  Budget Hotel in Kokura

  This is a simple hotel for business visits. Like all Japanese hotels, this is a clean and neat hotel, very close to the Kokura Railway Station. The rooms are slightly larger and bright. One thing that impressed me was the spread for the buffet breakfast.

  Best choice in Kitakyushu

  Comfort hotel will be the best choice if you are a budget traveler. During the weekdays, you can use a room at really reasonable price and their room charge include breakfast. And also if you are travelling with children under 12(?), their room charge and breakfast is also free. It's location is also within walking distance from Kokura station and there are lots of facilities near the hotel like convenience stores, car-rental and small pubs. The breakfast also quite good and they also rent umbrellas on a rainy day. If I visit Kitakyushu again, we will visit the hotel.
