  Merece la pena el viaje

  Vinimos del Hotel Corona de Bagni Di Lucca a este sitio estupendo situado en el río haciendo un largo viaje por carretera desde el sur de la Toscana. El propietario y chef Roberto Merlot nos obsequió con lo mejorcito de la cocina toscana , así como con una buenísima selección de vinos para acompañar una cena maravillosamente preparada. Incluso nos reveló sus secretos culinarios... Las habitaciones, bonitas, limpias y con vistas a los bonitos rápidos del río, incluso mejoraron más nuestra "sejour". El desayuno es para recordarlo, abundante y con una amplia variedad antes de hacer nuestras excursiones diarias por la montaña. Por las noches volvíamos para volver a disfrutar en el comedor. Verdaderamente agradable. Grazie mile Roberto. Saluti di Svezia!

  Tiene mucho encanto

  El hostal conserva un ambiente como de la Belle Epoque que me encantó. El personal es amable y la habitación era grande, con unas vistas preciosas al río y la montaña. El baño necesita renovarse un poco, pero aún así todo tiene un aire encantador. Súper limpíssimo y con una calefacción central a toda mecha, hace que la estancia sea muy confortable. Desayuno: pan payés con queso fresco, queso (no de lonchas) y embutido. Capuccino...mmm... tartas caseras, cereales, huevos, etc... Pagamos 49 euros dos personas con desayuno y tasas turísticas incluidas. Nota: Desde la estación de tren, son 2km andando para llegar a Bagni di Lucca Terme, el paseo vale la pena.

  Lovely stay in a beautiful boutique hotel

  We have been coming to Bagni di Lucca and surrounding area for 20 years for holidays and to visit relatives. In recent years I would go an afternoon or evening walk along the river Lima, cross the footbridge in Ponte a Serraglio and pass the Albergo Corona Hotel. In recent years the building looked somewhat neglected and had been deteriorating - a shame because its had great potential, heritage, history and is beautifully located on the bank of the river Lima. I was delighted to find this year that the building had clearly benefited from significant investment and been fully refurbished. It was looking probably looking better than at any point in its past 100 years of history and was now a beautiful and very tasteful boutique hotel. We stayed for 4 nights in August and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The decor overall was excellent and our room was perfect with a small balcony overlooking the river Lima. The staff were all delightful, we had a warm welcome and great service throughout our stay. We realised that on our last evening there was a special event scheduled in the hotel, involving performances by young English soprano and an Italian male tenor. We decided to go and enjoyed a lovely evening. We had an excellent table overlooking the river, a beautiful three course meal with wine whilst being entertained by two excellent vocalists performing in turn on the balcony and on the terrace beside our table. All of this under the stars on a beautiful warm summer evening. I am not sure things get any better than this? It was fantastic. To summarise then, a beautiful boutique hotel, in a great location, with committed owners - who have obviously invested significantly to create the new Corona - and great staff. We will definitely return again.

  Do you love cocktails?

  The upgraded hotel is great! When we visited earlier this summer we had a fantastic meal and some brilliant cocktails. Jacopo, the cocktail waiter can conjure up something to suit everyones tastes, in fact he was the highlight of our trip! (And very handsome too ) Thank you to all the staff and good luck for the future.

  High end hotel

  On arrival we were greeted by a friendly and professional hostess. The room was superb, well organised, clean and good attention to detail. Throughout our stay we were always greeted by super friendly staff and the decor was superb. Would recommend this hotel to couples treating themselves to a high standard relaxing stay and good food
