  Attending a Wedding

  We made reservations at this hotel because we were attending a wedding in the area, we were told that the wedding party & guests would have rooms on the same floor. We had to venture all over the hotel trying to find each other because the person who the Bride spoke to no longer works here.

  average stay

  The stay was fine with a few issues. I felt the bathroom could have been more clean than it was, the pool was clean and mostly appropriately booked for the current covid 19 situation. In the future I would consider staying here again.

  Couple issues, but would stay again.

  Stayed for several nights recently. The room was clean and bed comfortable, although the a/c fan was quite loud. The bathroom, however, needs more space to put your things. A shelf maybe. There was one very small two-pronged hook on the back of the door and that was it. Not close to get when you're ready to get out of the shower. Breakfast was ok, but one of the women getting my food wore her mask under her chin. What good is that doing? The other woman wore hers properly. On the second day the woman who served me wasn't wearing a mask at all. And not the hotel's fault, but people still don't understand the concept of 6 feet, even with markers on the floor.

  Just Not A Peaceful Vibe

  Peace is not a word that I would use to describe this hotel. I have stayed in lots of Country Inns and I loved them, but this one just did not feel right. Cold and apathetic are two words that come to mind. Yes, it was clean. Yes, the hard-boiled eggs were good. Yes, the room was comfortable (although the room temperature did not cool down much and hallway noise could be heard easily in the room and neighbors were banging against the wall). One desk person seemed especially bored and did not want to do much to answer simple questions. The other desk person was brand new and did not know how to do much. Why did the manager let her work on her own? My uncomplicated check in took 20 minutes! Thankfully, the groundskeeper was polite and warm and kind - kudos to him. Guests ignored other guests; no one made eye contact. I felt uptight during the entire visit. I am thinking it is because of the mask-wearing. Folks are just not nice anymore when they are wearing masks. You cannot see any warm and friendly smiles if anyone felt like being nice and kind. Thankfully, I spent most of my time at the dunes which are fantastic and worth the trip. I ended up checking out a day early because I just did not want to spend another night in that cold and apathetic environment. I just wanted to leave and get home. I cannot wait until folks stop wearing masks so that we can interact well with other human beings again.

  Pleasant Staff!

  Prior to my arrival, I called with a million questions and the person I spoke with was Michael. He was very patient and friendly!! Upon my arrival, he greeted me and once I told him I just called, he immediately began to book the room I inquired about. He also was very pleasant and patient again because I had a lot of questions. He also offered me a discount by signing me up as a member and I instantly saved $20 on my room!! So, not only did I receive superb customer service, but I also received a discount!! Other employees in the lobby were pleasant.. its just a breath of fresh air after traveling and dealing with so many horrible personalities in different cities.
