    Great location. Ok hotel.

    The location is great and walkable to restaurants and bars in the area. This was my first hotel stay since COVID-19, and we chose Marriott as a trusted brand because I thought the hotel would take necessary precautions with respect to cleaning and safety. The check-in process was easy and met those standards. I also liked the way the hotel is limiting entry to visitors and requires a keycard to get into the front door. However, my assigned room fell short of what I was expecting. The mini-fridge in our room still had drinks in it from the prior guests which makes it clear the fridge was not opened or cleaned before my stay. We cleaned it ourselves with disinfectant wipes. I also was disappointed that we were assigned a disability accessible room when we did not request one because it meant that the disability bars and seat in the bathtub limited the useable space in the shower. Unrelated to my stay, the bath/shower should be larger in disability accessible rooms to provide disabled patrons with space in the bath/shower comparable to the non-disabled rooms.

    No cleaning service, limited towels, garbage all over entrance of hotel

    I have been a Marriott Bonvoy member for a long time and I have stayed at this hotel before but it has gone from good to terrible! We checked in on Friday night (9/4) and Saturday night we returned to a room that was never cleaned. We were told - "we haven't provided daily cleaning since March". Nothing was posted on the website but I was told there are signs at the desk. No towels and no toliet paper. When we called downstairs someone brought up two blue towels you would use for a toddler and 2 face clothes. No hand towels, no shower rug. Take your money and stay somewhere else where they know what hotel means. Never again!

    A hotel that could be great with a few touches

    My wife and I came for business. We requested and got a handicapped room. Initially I was very happy as it looked accessible. The shower was dangerous for handicapped. There were no markings on the multiple knobs. Neither my wife nor I could find a setting other than quite hot. I dipped my toe in and got burned. Not good for a paralyzed leg. We could not set it to water from wand. Only 90% tub 10% wand. I settled on that Wonderful handicapped seat. But. Once sat soaps out of reach. Grab bars installed wrong. One vertical bar two feet away. Needs to be by seat. I tried a different approach with no seat. I got trapped in tub for several hours as grab bars wrong and no foot plate. There was no overflow outlet so when I couldnt correctly turn water off tub overflowed and my clothes were soaked I called for maintenance but none available until late afternoon. He was able to work valves first time. Second time they did not work for him. I showed him me working valves and he was unable to fix them. He said you have to do valve c then b then a. I asked how would I know that. There should be instructions The TV had lots of choices but again no instructions. It took a very long time to figure out how to turn on basic tv The room was relentlessly gray. Not a spot of color. No art Sort of like a North Korean prison cell. Many good things in room. Comfortable bed. TV with lots of option. Mini fridge microwave. Fantastic location in a new village square complex with tons of restaurants in a block or two walk. Right at intersection of two major highways My suggestions are simple. Put instructions on shower including hot/cold. Put badge on microwave door saying microwave. Have a handicapped person sit on shower and try to use grab bars and reach soap Either a piece of paper or on TV hotel channel list the nearby restaurants and shops. Put plaque by TV explaining how to use remote. Very complex. Dont advertise free high speed WiFi then want to charge $5/day Mini baggage carts are very unstable and very hard to get through doors. A spot of color in rooms? Full disclosure I am a limited partner in Courtyard by Marriott so I want it to succeed

    Surprisingly lovely!

    What a great hotel in the charming area of Kingsley! I was really surprised at the decor and spaciousness of the room. We got a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. This was such a great set up for our family! The room was very clean. The decor was modern and color scheme soothing. We especially loved the shower. The handle is on the opposite side of shower head where you come in, so you can set your temperature without getting wet; avoiding cold water. Unfortunately, due to COVID there was no daily room service. The young ladies at the front desk were very sweet and helpful. I have to say the room coffee was terrible, but they did have coffee downstairs. There is a Starbucks and Panera Bakery down the street that you can walk to. The hotel is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops. There was even an Aveda salón, where we were able to pick up some items. My husband and teen son used the gym and said it was great. Will definitely return when in the area.

    Great Staff!!!

    We came during Thanksgiving and COVID. Because of COVID, there were obviously some disappointments like no bar and 2 of our 4 days, there was no breakfast offerings. Hopefully, when this is all behind us, we can visit again and see the hotel in all of its glory. Lol. But, the staff were so, so friendly. We needed connecting rooms and I was stressed because I was told it wasn't guaranteed. I talked to a gentleman who told me not to worry and he would be there the day I checked in and would assist. I called morning of check in and he made sure we were blocked into connecting rooms. We had some issues with credits for our rooms, but Clarissa helped one evening while I chatted with a very friendly Director of Engineering. On the day of check out, the Director of Housekeeping was checking me out and again, our credits were causing some issues. She was so friendly and worked to get it figured out. Sue who is currently in laundry and working NA, but originally hired as a baker (oh COVID...) was also very helpful. The room was spacious and clean. They even sent housekeeping up one day to refresh our rooms. It was much appreciated. The area is amazing! So many shops and restaurants in walking distance - and a Starbucks! We hope to be back next year!
