    Loud music, toilet non functioning

    We stayed at this hotel last Friday for a 5k race in the area. Check in was easy and the woman at the desk was helpful with helping us find a restaurant in the area for dinner. We entered our room and the room next to us was blaring their music and it sounded like they had several people in the room partying. My mom who was with us wanted to complain but I commented how it was still early and hopefully they would turn it down after we get back from dinner. Fast forward to after dinner, the room next to us was quiet and we thought we were in the clear. Then at 2:30am the music start blaring very loud and the walls were vibrating. Sounded like they were having a party with people loudly singing. We called the front desk and someone came up within 10 minutes to tell them to turn it down. The party lowered the music but it was still rather loud as the hotel walls seem so thin and you can hear just about everything in the neighboring rooms. They continued to talk very loud and sing as my daughter who had a race the next morning tried to sleep. To top it off our toilet wasnt working and we went downstairs to let the staff know but they didnt seem to care. No one offered to fix it and we just decided it was easier to use the bathroom in the lobby rather than arguing with the person behind the desk. We should have asked to have our room changed but by the time we realized it wasnt working it was very late and we just thought it was easier to stay put rather than move all our belongings. This coming weekend, we are planning another visit to the area and its a shame we cant stay at this hotel because it is very close to our venue. I guess we will have to look for another hotel in the area!

    Not At All What I Would Expect From A Marriott Property

    For a summer getaway to the Atlantic Highlands, my father and I decided to stay at the Courtyard by Marriott in Red Bank due to its ideal location. We were booking quite the last minute, and it was undeniably a busy weekend. We were grateful this hotel had availability. We redeemed a hefty amount of rewards points and enjoyed our day at the Sandy Hook National Seashore. After a beautiful day filled with exploration, sunbathing, and beach hopping, we commenced the scenic half-hour drive to Red Hook. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were very disappointed with what we saw. It was a messy construction zone with scrap wood, contractors, dumpsters, and trucks everywhere. The main entrance was not usable, and we drove around to the backside of the hotel where we parked our car and walked through an unmarked entrance. The only sense of direction we ascertained was a small piece of paper with the words "Reception" printed on it. It was sloppily taped on the wall upon entering. Additionally, there was an overflowing garage bin and cigarette disposal that greeted us as we entered. Upon entering the lobby, there was only one attendant working and a very long line of disappointed guests awaiting check-in. The couple at the front of the line had spent hundreds of dollars on a standard room that was unavailable due to construction. They were accommodated, but, the trend of high costs continued as the line progressed. Once it was our turn to check-in, we were told that there was only a room with one king bed and a sofa bed available. Reluctantly, we agreed. The entire check-in experience was sloppy. There were no social distancing markers on the floor, and there was not even a hand sanitizer available for guests to use. Once we completed the hectic check-in process, we proceeded up the elevator to our room. Many guests were not wearing masks in the elevator, and there was no one enforcing COVID-19 prevention methods. Upon entering the corridor we were pleased with how clean and modern it was. Upon entering our room, we were pleased with its cleanliness, yet, its decor was minimal and it was not very inviting. I walked down to the front desk to inquire with the agent about getting the sofa bed made up for the night. I come to find that she is outside smoking a cigarette with the housekeeper who is on duty for the night. The desk was left unattended, and there was nobody available to helo guests. This was a continuous trend I noticed throughout my stay. The location of the hotel is very undesirable. The front desk agent did not know of any good dining options, and we ended up driving twenty minutes to an Applebees. Upon arriving back at the hotel for the night, we were greeted with the same loud and disruptive construction and poorly lit entranceway. The beds were not comfortable at all. The television and internet were both very slow. The bathroom was small, dim, and dated. The next morning, we ascend to find pre-packaged breakfast for guests. This was a nice touch. Unfortunately, the lobby was filled with contractors and it was not at all desirable to sit down and enjoy breakfast in. After my two recent stays at Marriott properties, I have many concerns with the lacking comfort, service, cleanliness, and enforcement of COVID-19 prevention measures. I would not recommend this property.

    Loud with no privacy!

    We stayed at this hotel for a wedding in the area. It was not a good hotel stay! There is construction happening, so the place is a mess. There were workers banging on the roof near our room. We werent able to sleep. Then, a woman from room service barged into our room in the morning. We had our do not disturb sign up, were still in bed, and hadnt checked out yet, but she entered anyway. We wanted to call the desk, but our room phone wasnt connected to anything, so it didnt work. Omg!

    Stayed here while visiting our daughter

    My wife and I traveled to Red Bank to visit our daughter and stayed at the Red Bank Courtyard. While it is under construction, we had a very pleasant stay, and were upgraded to a suite. The best part of the visit was the front desk associate, Kate. She was very helpful in allowing us to checkout late, because of trip to the beach, and located my misplaced cell phone when I inadvertently left it lay while checking out. We will definitely stay here again while in Red Bank.

    Barbara Shannon at the Lincroft Marriot hotel Went out of her way to accommodate me during a very difficult time. I had a gout attack and couldnt leave the bed Barbra went out of her way to call me and make sure I was ok She genuinely cared It was a very nice feeling and would highly recommend this hotel 5 stars !!!!!!!!!!!!
