  Excellent value in excellent location

  We had a long weekend away in Prague from 10th to 12th May 2013. This apartment is located 5 minutes walk from the centre of the centre, coffee shops, night clubs, restaurants are all at hand on the way there already. The accomodation we had was for 6 people on the 5th floor with a bathroom. It was spacious (main room with the kitchen and 4 single beds and a smaller room with a double bed) and was clean as well. Fridge, sink, kettle, cooker, oven all in there. The breakfast added to the value absolutely, being served till 10.30am and included lovely fresh pastry, ham, cheese, yoghurts, etc. We really enjoyed our time as well and i would like to compliement the guys from the management team who always greeted us with a smile at the breakfast and would recommend the receptionst guy to get some information about the airport bus going from the Main Station :). Highly recommended if you are on a budget!

  Lo recomiendo

  Nos alojamos en Setiembre del 2012. Alquilamos un apartamento, el cual se localiza encima del "Travelers Hostel" y comparte comedor con el hostel. El precio es excelente, de los más bajos de Europa teniendo en cuenta las principales características (una excelente ubicación, una buena limpieza, y seguridad aparente, un apartamento amplio, con todo equipado), pagando menos de 20 Euros Each. Cuando entramos al Hotel, no tenía la fachada que esperábamos... pero bueno, estamos en Europa del Este, y es natural que así sean la mayoría de las construcciones de la zona porque es parte del encanto... Se mantiene atemporal. El edificio es viejo, tiene un ascensor viejo, y las habitaciones también lo son pero estan bien decoradas y bien mantenidas. No sé cómo son las habitaciones del hostel - en el pasillo que recorríamos camino hacia el comedor se podían ver si pasabas en horas de limpieza y no tenían mucha pinta - pero lo que son los apartamentos, realmente por ese precio no podemos quejarnos. Por el contrario, nos gustó por la ubicación, condiciones generales buenas, y el desayuno muy rico y abundante. Eso sí, el chico rubio de recepción nos pareció bastante mala onda a la hora de darnos información, No creo que le gustasen mucho los turistas. Cuando le preguntamos por algún lugar para ir a bailar, el único del que habíamos oído hablar era el famoso de 5 pisos a orillas del Río Moldava, Karlovy Lázn... insistió que fueramos a otro lado diciendo que ese era un "Shitty place"... Al final tenía razón y nos quedamos con pena de no haber conocido algún lugar un poco más local (Karlovy estaba repleto de turistas como nosotros) pero ese lugar estaba en el checklist ! Saludos

  Staying in Prague

  It was clean, the room was cleaned everyday, there were shower facility's, reasonably priced, the staff were helpful, 'the all you can eat' breakfast was amazing. The staff friendly, the hostel is a very short walk from the central square, and not far from train station.

  Old town square apartments

  I had read some not so good reviews about the old town square apartments so I was a little apprehensive about staying but I got to Prague and the apartment is wonderful and the reception people are just great,everything is taken care of and the location is perfect. I want to thank Anela,Tereza,Anna and aii the other girls that I have spoken with at the reception for making this the best vacation I've ever had.

  Disappointed

  The check in process was easy and the young lady that met us to let us in was wonderful. Very old apartment block, and sit right above a night club. The noise from the night club combined with the shocking bed makes sleeping almost impossible. Thin mattress in a creaky timber box and a red towelling sheet. Terrible pillow, more in the cupboard with no pillow cases on and stains. The bathroom smell of dampness is overpowering. Kitchenette has a dirty used cleaning sponge that put me off doing any kind of food prep. Only good thing was a lovely view from the small windows and well heated, also close to most main attraction areas. Left a night early and wasted over $200 AUD.
