  familiar hotel, walking distance from the beach

  Nice and quite 3 star hotel, near the beach. I believe it was refurbished recently. Large bedroom and bathroom. Very clean. Good and very complete breakfast. The administration seems familiar thus every contact is very customized. We have parked the car in front of the hotel, free of charge. On the same street don't miss the "La Chiesa" Pizzeria, with good food, price and service.

  Lovely Location. Pleasant Stay

  I booked a single room and was allocated a double. The room had a balcony which looked towards the sea from the side road Spotlessly clean. Pleasant and friendly staff. Excellent location 10 minute walk from the station 2 minute walk from the beach

  Cerquita de la playa

  Un hotel ubicado muy cerquita de la playa. En una calle muy pintoresca. Con una atencion muy correcta de parte de su personal. y con un excelente precio. El desayuno, un poco falto de variedad. Recomendable igualmente.

  Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. Convenient for the beach and resturants

  We've just stayed for 2 nights in Viareggio and found the Hotel Dolly through Booking.com. Although the decor is a little old and worn, our room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offered a small savoury selection as well as the traditional sweet Italian cakes and pastries. Staff very helpful. Although you have to pay for street parking the hotel sort all that out for you. Good wifi connection. Down a side street just off the seafront the hotel was very convenient for the beach, restaurants and bars. I imagine it's hell in August but in September Viareggio was just wonderful.

  Good location for exploring the beach promenade.

  Stayed for one night end of August. Needed 3 beds and they split the double and added a pullout which worked out well. Very small room with small terrace for hanging wet towels and swim suits. View to the backs of other buildings. Receptionist and maid were friendly and nice. Good wifi, simple breakfast with breads and pastries yogurts and juice... and coffee of course. Best part is that you walk about 100 meters and you are right on the boardwalk, in the middle, below the giant clock (so u can always find your way home). Beaches are all private and as soon as you set your towel down the lifeguards come to tell you that you must pay. There is a public beach at the far end by the stone breakwater... it is about 20 meters of beach with garbage nestled between the rocks. As far as the eye can see are the private beaches with tables chairs and umbrellas. There are also many jellyfish washing ashore. We felt like we got stung a bit... but nothing going serious. Felt like stinging nettles. Came home at 2:30am and had to ring the bell... but the guy opened the door right up for us without making a fuss. A good place to sleep and the price was right!
