  I enjoyed their rooms with the balcony overlooking the swimming pool was just splendid. Their steam bath was great. Their meals were excellent and freshly prepared. I would definitely stay here again when i return to Kampala

  Pleasant stay in Kampala

  Great location, Nice Breakfast, good quality service and friendly staff. Rooms are clean and tidy. Strong WIFI signals in the room. Clean swimming pool. Restaurant food is very good. Shopping mall 900 m away and other Indian restaurants are also walking distance.

  Rude and unprofessional hotel management spoiled our wedding day

  My husband and I had an awful experience last weekend at DS, where we held our wedding reception, due to the hotel's terrible management. 1. They tried to change the agreement about the buffet, which we had been offered as unlimited from 5-9.30pm, mid wedding. The food ran out after 1 round and they then removed the buffet, saying that if anyone else came or others wanted a second plate of food theyd be charged at 50k UGX per plate. 2. The staff started clearing the tables and chairs at 9pm, despite us agreeing that we could keep the music at full volume until 11pm, before reducing it until 1am. This made guests feel like the event was ending and they also therefore started preparing to leave. 3. We were charged for 15 extra people's food and nothing was done to compensate the overall lack of food. Water and soda was also charged at more than it was quoted. 4. The managers didn't seem to care that the discussions were disturbing other guests; at least one shouted down from their balcony for us to stop making so much noise 5. When we were leaving, we asked for the 5 crates of empty beer bottles that we had paid corkage on. It seemed like they had no intention of returning the bottles and they finally tried to give us less bottles than we'd brought. Had they perhaps also charged us for too many drinks and stolen some of ours? Its not fair if no one is held accountable for this situation and hopefully this review will mean that no one else has their special day ruined by DS.

  Terrible, outdated, dirty, poor

  I was booked for 8 nights, but upon arrival, I already noticed it's not what I expected from seeing pictures on web site and what the ratings were. Wisely I decided to only pay for the first night to see how it goes. Thank goodness I paid only one night, the linnen was old, dated, towels old, torn, see-through. The basin, taps, shower fittings either falling off or is worn beyond normally acceptable standards. Walls and curtains peeling, mirror not even clean. The smell was just moldy. I did not even want to order dinner, the menu is very limiting and nothing on there was appealing. Breakfast was just not making it any better..... I could drink the coffee..... I gladly checkked out and moved to another hotel...

  Excellent services

  It was a wonderful stay with family here, even during covid times. Safety was very well taken care of. The ambience and cleanliness was excellent. Special thanks to Mr. Manan who escorted us around the property safely and ensured our stay was pleasant. Overall excellent courtesy, good staff and great taste!
