  Soccer game sleepover!

  Decided to come see my niece play soccer at UND and decided to stay over and use my Marriot reward points. I picked this because it looked newer and didn't realize that it was in East Grand Forks-assumed it was out by the freeway. This ended up being more convenient because the team is currently playing in EGF so was close to the field and a nice new clean hotel. Was concerned I would hear road noise from Hwy 2 but wasn't bad with my fan on. Very comfortable beds and good breakfast-even some fresh fruit! Close to downtown and our favorite Sickies Garage for burgers. Will definitely consider staying here again.

  Outstanding Service

  We stayed at this property for my daughters UND Graduation just a couple miles down the road. The staff, supervisor and manger here is AMAZING! They were able to accommodate our specific situation with an early check-in and a late check out. They were so warm and friendly and even took family photos for us. It was like staying with a nice family while in town. The breakfast (which is included) was superior to other comparable and higher end hotels I have stayed at. It was excellent, with a variety to the 'usual'! Everything was clean and fresh! This is the newer Fairfield Inn design/layout and the rooms are clean and comfortable and the layout of the King suite is really well done. I wish I had stayed here the last time I was in town. Thank you East Grand Forks Fairfield Inn staff...you really made our trip stress free and enjoyable despite the cold weather! Really Well Done! Thank you!

  Larry is no longer loved

  Have stayed at the hotel at least 5 or 6 times and as a lifetime platinum member of Marriott I have witnessed all type of policy and staff members. In addition to my staying at the hotel Larry (our dog) has joined as well, usually a non issue and with a small fee added. This trip had a new tone as now the hotel claims to have never been pet friendly, and only service animals are allowed, but after my one hour drive in the northern Minnesota weather he could stay this time. The surprise came with the invoice which provided us a 2x rate for the dog? Our discussion with staff was not of value, especially as Im heading to the airport for a 5am flight in bad weather Im dealing with other considerations. As I noted I do not appreciate being jacked by Marriott this had no impact. Overall the hotel is fine, but staff is hard to come by which apply customer service and basic logic to their methods. When in the Grand Forks area I would suggest other options.

  Great stay!!

  We were in town for a wedding and had 3 great nights here. The room was quiet, the linens were soft, and the shower pressure and temperature were right on. Mike (the General Manager I believe) took good care of us and was helpful with directions around town. There were 6 rooms of our friends and they all enjoyed their rooms too. Highly recommend!

  Lovely stay a real surprise really in the middle of nowhere!

  Went for a shopping trip to Grand Forks and have always stayed on the west side as my son went to UND. However, this time we decided to try the Fairfield Inn and Suites East Grand Forks. What a lovely surprise this hotel was! It is a few years old, however, it is impeccably clean and looks brand new inside. Our request for a top floor away from the elevator was accommodated. The rooms are clean, well appointed, beds extremely comfortable, and pillows are divine! The white towels are thick and absorbent. Breakfast on Sunday morning was standard, although we did come towards the end of the time allocation. However, Monday's breakfast was really above standard hotel breakfasts and I must say thoroughly enjoyed! Bravo Fairfield Inn & Suites East Grand Forks we will be back!
