  Friendly, helpful staff

  I stayed there for a long time and the staff was courteous, friendly, nice, and helpful. Breakfast was prepared early and well by friendly staff. It was a walking distance to Walmart, Sam's Club, HEB grocery store, some fast food, close to freeways. I'd stay there again!

  Excellent In Every Way!

  My Senior tour group stayed 5 nights at this Fairfield, while touring San Antonio, Fredericksburg & Corpus Christi. Our rooms were spotless & the beds very comfy. The location is great as there are stores, Walmart, Sam's, Best Buy & restaurants across the road. Breakfast was good & the hostess, Janie, kept everything filled up, was extremely helpful to my group. She is a very hard worker & does her job with pride! Also, Idalia, at the front desk was very polite, professional & just a Sweetheart. She worked very hard finding a company to give me road service for my bus. Also, Miguel Malacara, the general manager gave me a ride to Northern Tool to pick up a battery charger. He definitely is a caring and compassionate manager, who cares about his employees & customers. Customer service like this is hard to come by these days. If you need a great place to stay while visiting San Antonio, I highly recommend this Fairfield Inn....

  Good work stay

  This newer hotel was clean. Staff were friendly. There were some noisy other guests being loud in the hall and someone asked them to be quiet and it worked. My room was next to the gym so that was a little noisy when someone was running late at night, I couldn't move as they were sold out but front desk advised they would close the gym from 11pm to 6am so I could get some sleep.

  Newer Fairfield, Not Best Location

  This is a newer Fairfield and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Located right next to the highway, its convenient, but it didnt seem to be in a great area, and there arent many great food options. Also, request a room away from the highway if the noise will bother you. Would stay again though if it was convenient, but would be ordering dinner in from somewhere.

  One glitch but overall a good stay

  We arrived a little early for check in but our room, 202, was ready according to the front desk staff. The young lady (MPE) was very friendly and professional and had us on the way in a short time. She did not recognize my Gold status and did not respond to my question about a room upgrade. This seems to happen too often in Marriott properties, in my opinion. Oh, well. Room 202 was clean but we immediately noticed a very unpleasant odor permeating the entire space. I tracked the smell to the shower drain and we notified the front desk. MPE immediately offered us another room on the same floor. We obtained the new key cards and shuffled down the corridor to room 236. The room was fine, clean and fresh smelling. Everything worked, as it should, and the bed was comfortable. This Fairfield did have coffee (pretty flavorful) and some breakfast items available which we partook of the next morning before checking out. Other than the initial problem with room 202, our stay was very enjoyable. There are several dining options within a short distance, there was plenty of parking available and the hotel lobby was spotless and comfortable as well. Overall, a good experience and I would recommend this property as a good choice for this area.
