  Awful

  This is by far one of the worst hotel stays! Not sure how this is a Marriott property. To start just about everyone we spoke to had a similar experience. We arrived late Thursday, the first room the air wasn't working, room was musty, and tv didn't work, the front desk that was not at the desk, I had to go find her but was very nice, found another room that was very nice. The new room only had 3 pillows. We politely asked for 3 more to which front desk said they didn't have any. The shower filled up to ankle deep. The hot tub wasn't working, but no sign indicating a problem. Lazy River was nice. We got more pillows the second night after asking the third person. To complete our awesome experience, just kidding, the fire alarm went off at 6 am, my handicap mom had to try and evacuate her 3rd floor room in a panic for a thankfully false alarm (my husband, daughter and I were on first floor). It is very outdated hotel, which overall isn't a problem if kept up.

  Review

  This is the first time I have every experienced negative guest service. The lady at the front desk was no pleasant at all. She is an older dark skin women. She was at the front desk on Saturday Dec.7th afternoon at 3:15pm. I walked in and waited for her to call me to assist me. After 15 seconds she looked up and said YES! I replied oh Im sorry I wasnt sure if you were ready to help me. I dont like walking up to the desk until the agent is ready to help me and I do this out of respect. She was not happy to help at all gave me a hard time with checking in. She didnt explain anything about the hotel and this was my first time staying at this hotel. I seen her giving other guest attitude as well. She would be a good reason for us to not return and tell our family and friends to not come back. Austin was always happy to help! I had called a few times before my arrival on December 7th, he was very helpful, polite and always smiling when I passed by or came to the desk. He would be a reason for us to come back. They definitely need more people like Austin.

  Terrible Experience!

  We had originally reserved two rooms for a 4 night stay, but checked out after 1 night. Issues: 1. One of the rooms did not have a smoke detector. When I asked the front desk clerk if the room is supposed to be out of order, he informed me that is was okay and that we can just hear the ones in the hallway if something happens. What if something happens inside the room? Should we wait until the rest go off? Obviously safety is not a priority here. 2. The rooms were dirty. Sticky counters, hair and bugs in the bathroom, unpleasant smells. 3. I asked the gentleman at the desk first thing in the morning if we could please have a 1pm check out. To which he responded no no no, thats too late. I then informed him that it was because of the issues we had experienced and we needed to wait a little before being able to move. He still declined. We checked in very soon after. From a long history with Marriott, this hotel is definitely not up to standards.

  Good visit

  We enjoyed our visit to this hotel. Masks were enforced. Both Dan and Austin were employees that were knowledgeable and helpful. Upon arrival we were not told exactly what would happen with trash, towels, etc due to covid. This could be improved upon. Possibly supplying trash bags so trash can be set out instead of setting entire trash can outside door would be an improvement. We had a billing issue after our stay was over and both Dan and Jason helped us to handle and we were appreciative. Soap dispensers and shower heads in shower were great. Beds were not the best for comfort but overall this is a nice hotel with good employees and we would stay here again.

  Our stay was OK ...

  The reviews are all over the boards for this hotel. Our experience was OK. Staff is very friendly. Our room was mostly comfortable, clean and things pretty much worked as they should. The HVAC unit was slightly noisy, the room could have been a bit fresher and the tub and shower could use an update. The hotel could use a bit more clean up, paint up and fix up maintenance. I say that cautiously because I've seen places that are much worse. Don't read that as if the place is falling apart but rather that just a little more paint, cleaner and elbow grease would make a difference here. The breakfast offering was pretty darn good.
