  Excellent!

  Superb! It really feels like you are in a castle, from the royal interior to the exterior landscaping. The host is exceptional and the meals were delicious. You feel like you in a different world! The art is also stunning. This is one of the best places I have stayed!

  One of a Kind Castle Stay

  Where do I begin with this magnificent architectural design? It is based on the owner Manie's dream and vision. Everything in the castle has been personally chosen by him, whether it be the gorgeous period furniture or the magnificent doors and door frames that were all imported. The garden is so serene with lovely areas to sit and have a sundowner. They don't have a liquor licence so remember to bring along your own drinks. The bedrooms were all named after famous composers and we had the privilege to stay in Verdi's room! Lovely shower and bath and big bed. Aircon in the room too which is a must in December. A 4 course meal is available at an additional fee but we chose to eat in Graskop which was a couple of kilometers away. Very safe for two women travelling alone.

  Beautiful and qwerty place to stay

  We stayed for a week in this lovely place. It is magnificent and well worth the money. The owner, Maine, is so helpful and the food fantastic. You will just love the place. It is not your normal bland hotel but so full of character.

  We loved it

  We met friends from UK here and spent three nights at this one of a kind guest house. Manie certainly knows how to extend hospitality and a wonderful host. Definitly the best place to eat in Graskop. Beds are comfortable, water is hot and air con in the rooms an advantage. The rescue dogs a bonus. Look forward to returning one day soon.

  Magical and quirky!

  Filled with beautiful furniture and art, this is a fairy tale castle! The great entrance doors lead you into a magical world! Romantic bedrooms with fabulous bathrooms, a lovely courtyard garden, peace, views, walks in the lush green hills, and wonderful food. Manie is the warmest host and makes you feel at home. His art challenges convention, and his cooking will lead you into temptation!
