  Excelente Hoteleria y Restaurant

  Cumplio con mucho m'as de las expectativas que ten'iamos. las habitaciones son muy amplias con todas las comodidades, lo mismo que los banos, su liempieza es destacable y la atencion inmejorable. Mas destacable aun es su bar y su restaurant que ofrece un muy buen menu con muy buena mano en la cocina.

  Encantador hotel

  Hotel muy muy bonito, y tranquilo, con habitaciones muy amplias y rodeados de naturaleza. El trato en general del personal fue exquisito, y en especial de una señora, que debe de ser la dueña, que era encantadora. El único pero, me lo pongo a mi, y es que mi nivel de inglés es bastante pobre y no pude estar a la altura de su encanto. Solo se puede dar las gracias por la acogedora estancia que tuvimos.

  A great place to stay on the north coast

  This was my second visit to this nice hotel. Its old so dont expect glitzy modern accommodation. Nevertheless the bedrooms are decent and very adequate. Nice bar and sitting room. The food is probably the highlight of this hotel. It was very good when I first stayed here many years ago and I am happy to say nothing has changed. We stayed here on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal and it was well worth the money. Very good dinners and breakfasts. Definitely one of the best places to eat in the north of Scotland. We would be very happy to return here again.

  Fabulous

  To be honest I wasnt sure what to expect as the hotels web site doesnt help justify the price so I arrived a little suspicious. But, I was truly delighted by our experience. There is a homely atmosphere and service. The staff go out of their way to assist and take a personal interest in you. The communal areas of the hotel are great and we loved the fact that breakfast is served in a different area to dinner. A little detailed touch. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. If we do the 500 route again we will return to Forss House. Great stay. Thank you.

  Old-world charm & food heaven

  Forss House is all about old-world charm, superb food and excellent service. We recently spent a delightful weekend at Forss where the atmosphere is friendly, relaxed and unpretentious. Dinner was delicious each evening with a sumptuous menu, and breakfast was also a treat to wake up to! Stephen, Lauren, Kayla and Liz looked after us wonderfully well, under the skilled management of Nicholas. Rooms are comfortable and charming, housekeeping of a very high standard and we felt reassured by the Covid safety measures which were in place throughout the hotel. Forss has a peaceful riverside setting while indoors the style is classic and cosy with interesting features such as the impressive collection of antique wall clocks on the stairwell. If you enjoy a traditional country house experience with wonderful food, wed thoroughly recommend a visit to Forss House.

  A dog friendly Country House Hotel. Great food, lovely service and fantastic grounds.

  This is a place that looks slightly tatty but at the same time is comfortable and full of interesting design features. Decor is aimed at the huntin' shootin' fishin' set but is charming in its old fashioned chic. We stayed in the modern outside properties which were perfect for allowing the dogs a midnight pee. The dogs could go in the bar and the conservatory for food. The menu was close to fine dining, delicious and varied. I loved the venison. Outside, the hotel is set in spacious wooded grounds with paths going down to a river and to the sea. There are sheep in some fields, so be careful with dogs.

  Peaceful luxury

  The room was lovely; clean, nicely decorated, and a good size. The curtains were effective in blacking out the light. The bathroom was huge, with a very large circular copper bath. Loved it. The shower was very good also. Breakfast was good quality and a la carte; no buffet. Dinner was of high quality ingredients and cooking. The bar was well-stocked and decorated traditionally, with an extensive whiskey collection. The grounds were gorgeous with a beautiful waterfall and fishing stream at the bottom of the gardens. The service was exemplary. Friendly, attentive and efficient. The only negative was being woken at 6 am on the day of our departure by very loud classical piano music being played in the restaurant below our bedroom. We reported it on our departure and the staff apologised, stating that it had been turned on remotely and by accident by the morning shift team, who were unaware that it was playing at all let alone at a volume so loud that it stopped my lie-in. I thought it was another guests alarm going off repeatedly, so did not go downstairs to investigate. Once alerted to the din by a colleague arriving later that morning, the music was turned off.
