  Guest house should not mean substandard!

  Despite the real warm hospitality sense and good efforts in making people feel confortable, the basics are not met. Particularly cleanliness. In more than 15 years of hotels around the world I have never seen suchva low level. To be added the overpriced room, photos not displaying reality, permanent noise (REALLY loud)during the day...

  Definitely a "funki" guesthouse!

  Stayed here on a quick stopover before getting a flight to Bangkok. The guy who checked us in was really nice (not sure if he's the owner?). I think we were the only people staying in the guesthouse at the time - he told us it had only been opened 2 weeks! We stayed in Area 51 - it had such strange but cool decor!! You could definitely feel the newness in the room. The room & the shared bathroom were clean. The a/c was good, the beds were comfy & toiletries were supplied. My only complaint is that when we got up the next day for breakfast (around 8.30am) there was no one about, we stayed for around 20 minutes & looked around but couldn't see anyone. So we had to just leave to go on to the airport. This was just a bit annoying as it was one of the main reasons we booked here. I'm sure if we had have told the guy the night before what time we needed breakfast it would have been sorted though. Overall I would recommend a stay here - I wish the owner all the best with the new guesthouse :)

  great wifi

  I come to Chiang Mai often, and this time I decided to stay in the Nimman area and am so happy I did! This guesthouse has a great location just off the main road. It has great wifi (not something always found in Thailand), a yummy breakfast, AC and good, "funki" music! They have some really yummy drinks at their bar downstairs - try the spicy pirate!

  good hospitality, backpacker vibe, improvements still in progress

  Funki Guesthouse recently opened and has a very cool vibe. The guesthouse is small (currently has just 4 rooms) so service is personalized, the included breakfast is cooked for you as soon as you walk downstairs and the lobby feels cozy. Being new, the guesthouse has some improvements to make, but if you're looking for good hospitality and nice location in Nimman, it's a good backpacker-type lodging. WiFi is fast, air conditioning works well.

  Awesome Funky Guesthouse

  Wowww what to say about this place ! i stayed in this guesthouse for almost 15 days and if i have to go back in Chiang it would be there , the welcoming was really incredible , the decoration is funky for sure and every room have a special theme , special mention for the jimmy hendrix one , the rooms & the sanitary are clean , the guest house is pretty quiet during the day in a really cool neighbourhood where you can find a crazy amount of restaurant , 200 meters from the Maya Shopping mall but the friday night the owners launch some parties and trust me these guys knows how to Party , Cool BBQ & beers , You can also take some drinks in the fridge and add by yourself on the tab ! Tom the owner made me some custom breakfast depending of what i wanted , of course i never missed one ( really loved the khao niao mamuang pancakes ) , So a perfect place if you want a cool , decontracted , Funky , Good Vibes Guest House in Chiang Mai ! I Come back there soon for sure ! Chok Dee Krab David
