  A very good hotel

  Apart from the fact that the location of the hotel is amazing, this hotel in itself is also very good. Staff is very friendly and attentive, everything is well organised, rooms are clean, and breakfast is super. I will definitively come back to this hotel next time I am in the region.

  Biodynamics First = Outstanding Wine&Dine Experience

  Approximately 10 years ago we celebrated our wedding in this nice Hotel-Restaurant which was really nice. Ever since then we are coming back on a regular basis. The most recent occasion was a special event called "Biodynamics" within which the Restaurant teamed up with the organic wine distributor Riegel. During this event 3 wine makers presented various wines that perfectly matched with the 5-course gourmet menu. The wine makers Abril (Germany), Tenuta Alois Lageder (Italy) and Leclerc Briant (Champagne) not only presented their wines but also shared quite some insight into their winerys. From Welcome over Service to the Wine&Dine experience itself we felt like being in a Michelin starred restaurant. No wonder that they recently received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award. Dear Ganter-Team - nice job we really enjoyed the evening at yours - rest asssured we will come back soon and for sure watch out for you other special events...

  Perfect for a short trip.

  Classic upper-class design. Nice breakfast. Good priced. Comfortable parking situation. Amazing views and nature surrounding the place. Recommend the Reichenau Strandbad. Spa does only include a sauna and steambath, which you have to call for in advance. Reception closes at 22:00 or so. But they care for you in case you arrive late. Everything else just perfect. I guess it's family owned. Thumbs up!

  Lovely hotel in great location

  We have recently returned from a two week stay at the Hotel Ganter. We had a brilliant time. The hotel was spotless, the staff were very friendly and helpful and could not do enough for us to ensure we had a nice stay. The food was plentiful and of good quality and there was lots of variety.. The location was idyllic and the hotel provided a free bus and train pass for the duration of our stay. This enabled us to explore the local area as well as many of the attractions around Lake Constance. We would love to come back again and stay.

  Very expensive for what it is.

  It took us forever to find this hotel driving from Zurich airport as it is not on the Satnav even on the local one in the car. Checking in was very easy. The room on the 2nd floor was a nice size but the beds were extremely hard and the bathroom was a real let down. The shower cubicle is so small that a slight movement and you would hit the shower handle and switch it off. Turning it back on would mean cold shower for a bit. They have no air conditioning or fans. It was extremely hot that week. If you opened the windows or patio door than there were all the mozzies to tackle. They did not change the bedding all the time we were there. Really stingy with the shower gel and shampoo and no conditioner. Breakfast is good but the same every day. Very good bread. There is a charge for parking which they dont tell you when you check in. The bar shuts at 10 so you cant get a late drink. They even lock the front door at 10pm.
