  Fabulous place

  This is a lovely place to stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always happy to help you, from choosing wine, getting a taxi etc... The whole place is very clean and lovingly looked after, while we were there the place was being decorated for Easter with little eggs, rabbits etc - Nice touch! We stayed half board in a comfort room, the hot water was plentiful, comfy beds, and the sauna was heavenly after skiing all day! The food is amazing, and beautifully presented. They have a good storage room for ski gear and the bus to the slopes stops right outside which is great. All in all, if you need a hotel in this area I would definitely recommend The Laudersback.

  Great food, good location

  Skiing in Zauchensee for a week in March. Stayed at the Laudersbach near Altenmarkt in a comfort room with a friend and we really enjoyed our stay. Rooms clean, bed comfortable and furnishing of a high standard. Dinner in the restaurant consistently excellent; salad and/or soup to start with a choice of main course and dessert, all delicious. We stayed half board, the restaurant had a cosy atmosphere with local families visiting to eat on an evening. Waiting staff were attentive, efficient and helpful. A self service, continental breakfast was available in a pleasant, breakfast room with views of the valley and mountains. Do be aware that this hotel is next to a busy main road, however we were not disturbed by any traffic noise during our stay (we were in the main hotel rather than the Guesthouse which is nearer the road). The ski bus stop was at the end of the drive and buses to Altenmarkt and Zauchensee were regular, bus timetables were available in the hotel. Hoping to return for another visit with my husband and 3 teenage children I asked the owner if I could look at the family rooms before I left. I was shown a number of different types of rooms, all of a good standard. The economy rooms were smaller than comfort rooms. Loved this hotel, highly recommend

  Good and friendly

  Stayed 3 times here, always clean friendly and tasty breakfest. Nice lady in reseption :) Soft and comfy beds also good parking and beautifull landscape to wake up to in the morning. We usually stay here when we travel to the mediteranian, as its perfectly positioned on our route from Norway.

  A beautiful hotel in a beautiful part of Austria

  I stayed here for only one night in April but it is certainly a place I will return to. The price per night represented excellent value (although it was the end of the winter season and prices were lower). The room was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished (in alpine style). I had a family room with sofa bed and a pull down top bunk bed which would be great for the kids. I will remember the views across the mountains from the terrace for many years to come. The owners of the hotel, also own the restaurant adjacent to the main hotel. The kitchen serves a nice selection of pastas and local Austrian dishes and the prices represent excellent value for money. Car parking is plentiful and free. Breakfast is excellent and with a nice selection of hot and cold fare. WiFi is reliable and rapid. AND finally, when you are staying here the owners will give you a local Tourist Card which allows you to obtain discounts from various local attractions like the superb Therme Amadé which is a short drive (5 mins) from the hotel.

  Excellent stay in Hotel Laudersbach in Austria, October 2019

  We stayed for three nights in the hotel and we want to highly recommend the hotel. It was a very pleasant stay; the staff was super friendly, professional and the atmosphere was very good. We stayed in Austria for 7 nights, three of those in Hotel Laudersbach, and it was the best hotel we've been to in this vacation. To this hotel, I would definitely return when I'll travel again to Austria. Highly recommended.
